ATS M4 Modular Chest Harness

The M4 Modular Chest Harness (MCH-M4) is the latest evolution of the combat tested R.A.C.K. design. It has 4 integral mag pouches that accommodate one M4 magazine each (M4 mags pictured are not included). Mag retention is with a bungee pull tab and the Sure-Grip material that lines the pouches. The body of the vest features 4 rows of MOLLE compatible webbing for a wide range of possible configurations. The shoulder straps are 2" flat webbing with no buckles, d-rings or loops that may snag or interfere with the shouldering of your weapon. The shoulder harness is an H-Style harness with a wide range of adjustment for almost any body shape or size. The harness is also completely removable so that it will be compatible with future harness upgrades like a hydration back panel.

A good chest rig June 20, 2011

After weeks of debating which chest rig to purchase, I settled on the ATS M4 Modular Cheset Harness.  The price, magazine capacity, and the H-harness were the deciding factor.

I used it mainly for target shooting and magazine change drills.  It's not perfect.  Two magazine pouches are very tight for my P-mags.  They've loosened a little bit but are still tight and can be a problem if you're in a stressful situation.  I don't know if that's my particular rig or if they're all the same way.

The H-harness is comfortable and an optional padded harness is available through this site.  I don't find that I need it but then again, I didn't wear my rig for hours.

Pros: price, magazine capacity, comfortable H-harness.

Cons: two of the four magazine pouches are tight.

Well thought off chest rig July 2, 2010

This rig has most of what I was looking for in a rig, Open top pouches with enough friction to hold 4 mags (120 rounds) while on the move, and enough MOLLE webbing on both strong and support side to mount IFAK and General Purpose pouches, while the front of the ammo pouches contains my 2 secondary mags, multi tool and knife. all in a set of pistol pouches. As far as harness is concern Im not a fan of cross shoulders so I picked the ATS "H" Harness to go with this rig and they were made for each other. This rig will serve you well if your looking for a grab and go shooters rig.

I got the ATS M4 Chest Rig a few months ago and have used it alot in competitions and on the range. Its Molle easily allows you to build this into a very flexible platform while maintaining a basic load out of rifle mags. Or if you just want/need a very slick rig, you can run it just like it is. Four mags, is a great base to build upon to your desire or enough for most situations.

I ordered a similar rig from an e-retailer (not SKD) a long time ago and this one came in the mail instead. I didn't even try to send it back for an exchange, because this one is a gem. It's well constructed, well designed, and super lightweight. I mounted an IFAK and a radio pouch on the sides and stuck 2 pistol mags on the front for use on patrol and the harness wore like a dream over my Eagle LVAC body armor.

If you like the freedom to reconfigure your gear and don't mind spending a little extra coin on modular pouches, then this is the rig for you. If you're looking for a lightweight harness with fixed pockets that will handle your typical load out, then check out Mayflower's chest rigs instead.

This is a great piece of equipment. Very high quality work. It has everything that is needed and nothing that isn't. It is small and very comfortable making it easy to use even from prone.

I have used this in quite a few matches and have had no problems at all. Plus you can't beat Made in the USA!!!
