ATS Triple 762 Shingle

The 7.62 Triple Shingle is a 7.62mm sized version of our best-selling M4 Triple Shingle. Each pocket is sized for an M14/M1A, SR25 or FAL/L1A1 magazine. This pouch also has two rows of PALS webbing on the face to stack shingles or add smaller pouches, like the ATS Leatherman/Surefire/pistol magazine pouch or a roll up dump pouch. It measures about 10.5 inches long and about 6 inches tall. Magazine retention is accomplished by a bungee retainer and pull tab with SureGrip material on the tab itself. It’s available in black, coyote brown, Ranger green, ACU/UCP and Multicam. The pouch is covered by a lifetime warranty, as is all ATS gear.

Good choice for 7.62X51 users January 10, 2013

If you are a 7.62X51 user you know that your web gear choices are limited.  This pouch gives good balance between retention, cost and quick access.  If you are grudgingly giving up your '60's vintage web gear like I am and don't like gimicks  this is a good choice.

Simple, Lean, Minimalist, High-Quality December 6, 2012

ATS has hit a home-run with these 3-shingle 7.62 magazine pouches! Very minimalist, but loaded with small details!
These pouches fit M1A, FAL, SCAR-17, G3 (Alum & Steel), and all variants of AR-10 magazines, with ease!

The shingle's outer material is slightly thin, to save on weight. ATS' addition of a synthetic hypalon 'patch' to the (inside) bottom of the pouch, slightly adheres to the magazine(s), while preventing wear at the inside backside of the pouch(es). Pretty neat feature.
Bungee cords keep the mags secure, on top.

ATS' product(s) should work well in the field!

I'd prefer a little more threading to tack-on the internal hypalon patches. Some heavy threading at the outside corners of the mag pouches could prevent chaffing.

ATS' 5.56 shingles should be just as minimalist and excellent!

Well made 7.62 shingle. Plenty of room for 308 PMags. Will use as a second row on a triple 308 vest. With mags removed, it is fairly flat. Overall, an excellent mag pouch, well worth the money.

Works great on the HSGI Mini Drop Leg Panel Modular and I added a few pistol mag pouches on the shingle.

This mag shingle has quality stitching, good snug fit and locks into PALS grids solidly. I am only giving it four stars however, while it remains to be seen, I am somewhat less than confident in the 500D's ability to withstand abrasion, especially given the single layes construction. 1000D would have been a better choice for this application. I do like therubberized thumb-tabs on the retention cord, a nice, and welcome touch for those of us who wear aviators gloves in the field.
