Just plain work June 2, 2014

I was having second thoughts about my somewhat impulsive purchase of these knee pads, especially for the price.  First time using them I was setting up long range targets in tons of shrubs and chaparral and having to climb down small ravines and up the other side.  Those first fifteen minutes said it all, they absolutely staid in place and protected my knees despite the catching shrubs and everything else that was getting thrown at me.  When it was time to shoot and I was kneeling and lying prone, again they staid in place and were a joy.  They do not move and they don't cut off your circulation or otherwise feel uncomfortable.  When I was a kid I had Osgood-Schlatter syndrome in my knees, and that has left just south of my knee cap more sensitive, but the design covers that area no problem.  They are super light weight and now I don't know how I got by without them.

Not counting combat pants/knee pad inserts, these are the best knee pads you can buy. These are especially good if you are forced to wear knee pads by the big Army or other branch. They conform to the knee pretty well and they barely ever chafe compared to other knee pads I've worn. Maybe it's just my leg, but they sometimes ride too high into my thigh and when I take a knee, the small middle section ends up on the ground. It's not a big deal though, it's worth the comfort while walking. The actual plastic bends instead of cracks, but definitely will melt if you you take a knee on hot brass. One of my kneepads actually lost it's form because I was to close to a fire. It's easy enough to heat it back up and bend it back in place. I definitely suggest buying these if you aren't authorized to wear combat pants.

Best in Class March 20, 2014
Reviewer: Fortun81 from Southern AZ United States
I purchased these based on EAG Tactical recommendation. They are well made, solid duty level piece of kit. No worries on the rocks, and shell casings, but I have not really put them to the desert AZ test (Cactus) yet. That's our biggest issue here is cactus thorns, but they are very comfortable in comparison to the hard shell knee pads I normally run, much MUCH quieter too. They also seem a little small in comparison to the old style pads. But that equates to a more secure placement. In other words, they tend to stay where you put them. Again.. they are very comfortable, and quiet.
