Awesome Daypack June 15, 2011
Reviewer: Yong Yu from Los Angeles, CA United States
One of the best daypacks I've ever bought. The size is just big enough to stuff the essentials, and the compartmentalization is top notch. The bladder has its own compartment rather than having a pouch in the main compartment, which helps with space.

Shoulder straps have plenty of padding, and on long hikes I have not noticed any sort of discomfort. The goggles pocket near the top of the pack is an added plus, I store my shades and other non durable equipment in there.

The channels on the back of the pack help with airflow when it gets hot. MOLLE panels are sturdy as I've used just about every piece of it available on the pack for one thing or the other. I EDC this bag everyday and could not ask for much more.

Excellent light daypack. June 15, 2011
Reviewer: Chris Citty from Indialantic, FL United States
I've had the HAWG 500 for a while. I do not really use the bladder, because I'm never in a position to need that much water, but it is handy for when you might. Overall, a good tight pack that will hold the essentials. I'd give it 5 stars, but I'm a big guy, and there are moments that it can feel a little cramped. Exterior MOLLE doesn't overdo it. There is just enough, which is great. Interior, you have a front compartment with organization. Nothing fancy, but does the job simply. I like it. Be aware that this is not a 'large' pack, which should be obvious. You can stuff possibly 2 changes of clothes in the main compartment, or equivalent sized gear. Perfect for a day hike, or commuting. I can't find fault with this pack. It was designed well.

Pack with a Punch May 22, 2011
Reviewer: Ashley Ritchie from APO, AE United States
I got this pack a couple weeks ago. I know how Camelbak holds up to any abuse, this one goes straight along with that. Its great because it is enough space for my gear at work, and if not I can just add stuff using the compression straps on the side or the MOLLE attachments throughout. I already have a blow out bag on the side. It fits great too. I didn't think it'd fit my 15" sony laptop in it but suprisingly it does! This will no doubt be my go to bag, wheather it be traveling home/abroad, hiking, or for work since Im an MP and required to carry a good amount of gear. This bag can't be beat...for 120, its a solid deal! If you're looking for a bag that's not huge, but has enough room for a day trip without packing more than you need...this is the one.

excellent hiking pack January 29, 2010
Reviewer: jeff k from indianapolis, IN United States
I use this pack when i go hiking or mtn. biking.  It's comfortable and holds everything
you'll need for the day trip.  I do think CamelBak charges a ton for their products, but they stand behind them, and they're worth the money.

Well done. December 24, 2009
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from United States of America
This pack, works well for my purposes as an edc pack.

The only thing I would change is the material, I prefer the stronger 1000 Cordura.

Other than that this pack is well built, very strong, zippers are nice, it's perfect.
