Not bad, but much better out there November 30, 2011

I bought this thinking it would meet my needs and it does, but it's no where near what I expected from Eagle.  It's padded and will protect your weapon somewhat from MINOR dings and bumps.

It is however, cheaply made with stingy amounts of velcro on the magazine pouch lids.  Mine didn't come with a shoulder strap (no fault of SKD, who went out of their way to chase Eagle down to get one to me).  The strap itself has cheap metal hardware (similar to my $15 no name case).

All in all, not worth the money.  Buy a Blue Force Gear Discreet or similar case instead.

My Noveske N4 16" with Vltor EMOD stock fits perfect in this case. The first thing I noticed was the zippers. They open and close very smoothly.
I like how there is no velcro straps inside. I can unzip the end of the case and slide my gun out. A very good quality case.

There is padding on both front and back of the main compartment and padding on the outer side of the front compartment. The padding is thinner than some cases I have looked at but seems thick enough to protect what is inside under normal to hard use. The main compartment has edge padding on all four sides keeping the firearm from contacting the zippers. The front compartment does not have this edge padding. I would have liked to see at least a padded runner along the bottom edge to protect the firearm from the ground when the case is stood upright. This will not prevent me from storing my 11. inch sbr inside the front compartment just a minor complaint and the only reason I rated this product 4 stars and note 5 stars. The seams are double stitched in all areas and a two support straps are sewn from one handle through the case to the other side. One of the coolest things about this case is that it will drop into my Storm iM3100 hard case.

This case is sturdy and built to last.  I carry this case and its contents on a regular basis.  The high quality is evident with the stitching, zipper, handles, padding, shoulder strap, and overall workmanship.  I like the 'clean' design of the rifle compartment (no velcro/compartments, etc) which minimizes potential snagging if the rifle needs to be removed from the case quickly.   The large accessory compartment can hold an upper receiver and a large quantity of gear if needed.  The only thing I added was some coyote colored paracord to the rifle compartment zippers for rapid visual and tactile access of the zippers.  Made in the U.S. and lifetime guarantee... sold American.

Great Quality May 10, 2010

I've had this case for about 1.5 years and use it for a LMT 16" carbine.  It provides lots of protection and room for you rifle.  As others have noted, the second compartment has lots of space for more Molle pouches and has 4 integrated pouches for extra mags.  The quality of construction is simply top notch.  It's well worth the money IMO.
