This pouch is really well made.  The mags are held in with enough tension but still come out without much force.  There is a kydex insert in the mag pouch that holds it open to insert mags and is lined keeping the unit quiet while moving.  The retention straps are kept out of the way with velcro for routine missions.  When the straps are in place the pull tabs are a little small to grab quickly under stress.  The molle attachments are easy to put into place and they lock with snaps.  Only time will tell if the snaps will hold up under use.  Overall this is a great mag pouch for use on a tactical vest or a battle belt system.  This is a good piece of gear for real world work where magazine retention is as important as speed.
    When I first purchased the mag pouch I recieved one that was made for another pistol magazine.  Dwayne in customer service went above and beyond to to get and verify the right pouch for me.  SKD stands behind their stuff!

Kydex provides a snug fit for the mags, great quality.
