Fast and reasonably secure January 7, 2012

I bought two of these so I could load with either hand. The retention is just about right with GI mags and reloads are fast. Attaching these is a bit of bother, but they don't move after you get them where you want them.

The retention of these pouches is excellent on 30rd pmags without the flaps so if that's what you're going to be putting in these buy them and cut the flaps off.  If you're really want them more secure for jumps or repelling you can add the hook side of Velcro to your mags and they become much more difficult to remove.  The best quality of these however is how quiet and fast they are.  Great pouches!

I love these pouches, the only thing that is a little of a downer is the flop will not work with pmags, and mags with ranger plates... but I fee this is a non issue as the pouch will pretty much hold the mag in even upside down shaking the pouch.

The over all quality is good, but it was a huge dissapointment to find out that I couldn't close the flap over my PMags... I wouldv'e purchased another pouch had I known.

Eagle's FB pouches are arguably the best open-top Mag pouches in the world.
I purchased 3 for my ATS War belt as a light Class/Competition rig. This was a little much and I ended up pulling one off the belt to balance it with the closed-top sustainment mag pouch on the opposite side. I later purchased another for my RRV and mounted it with the old pouch I pulled to give me 2 speed reloads (much like my belt setup) supplemented by 6 more mags in closed top pouches (just in case of Zombie Attak).

Why do I love these pouches? They're light, they're simple, and they hold on tight enough that I can do everything short of skydiving with them on without having to fold up the retention flap.

I only wish SKD would also carry the version with 1911 mag pouches mounted in front for the rig I'm planning to run with my 1911.
