These mag pouches are very well made and keep your mags where they belong even with the flaps open.  This pouch holds both Pmags and USGI mags quite tightly.  So tight in fact that it is necessary to use two hands to insert and remove the mags.  

The solution I have found is to stagger the mags in the pouch (the front mag seated completely and the rear mag left about 1/2-3/4" higher than the front mag).  Not only has this made removal easier, but reinsertion can also be accomplished with one hand.  This has worked especially well with the Pmags.

I am very impressed on the quality and sturdiness of the pouch. However, I am somewhat disappointed in my purchase because of how they hold PMAGS. I only own PMAGS, and find it very difficult to place two mags into the pouch. After using both hands and a lot of force to squeeze the PMAGS into the pouch, it is somewhat impossible to remove them from it. I assume this issue will be resolved over time once the nylon and elastic break in. We will see until then, but for the time being I give it 3 stars on that simple fact. If the pouch does break in, and is able to carry two PMAGS, I will write a second review reflecting that.

The Eagle M4 pouches are the standard for me when it comes to .223 rifle mag pouches and Eagle sets a high standard with all of their products.
Copied by many, but Eagle makes the best iteration by my experience.Good, solid and dependable.

I purchased two of these pouches back about a year ago. Some of the toughest molle pouches out there. Able to take a beating and ask for more. Eagle Industries, the best stuff is still made in the USA.
