Eagle Low Vis Armor Carrier (LVAC)

This Low Visibility Armor Carrier was developed for a special unit that needed BALCS cut armor to wear under an outer shirt when operating discreetly. The carrier will hold BALCS and plates, but has no provisions for pouches or attachments. Outer cover is made from 500D Cordura, and inner is made with an anti-microbial material. Provides a great armor platform to wear a chest rig over. (Does not fit Paraclete RAV armor inserts).

Most Affordable BALCS Vest Out There	June 24, 2010

I bought this vest last year during a training mission, and it took about 30 minutes before half my platoon was on the internet ordering one for themselves. We get issued the BALCS cut armor anyway, but have to roll out with eSAPI plates as well so this vest just made sense.

The armor fit perfect (I wear S/M plates) and I never had a problem with it shifting around. The elastic and velcro held everything in place nicely, and I found that I could wear this vest all day long without my shoulders getting sore and therefore rarely took it off during missions.

I'd say that this vest is probably the best you're going to find at this price. At least until Eagle comes out with a version that can accommodate side plates without having to use riggers tape.

By the way, if you're comparing this to the TAG Havoc armor carrier you should note that the side SAPI pouches on that carrier are sized for 6"x6" plates and won't fit the newer 7"x8" eSAPI plates that are being issued nowadays.

Fantastic concealed armor	March 29, 2010

I work security in D.C. and I purchased this vest to wear concealed with my BALCS panels. I have now been wearing it very day for a lmost a year and I have no complaints. This is a comfortable and lightweight vest that carries my full trust.

This carrier is a great fit for my BALCS cut panels. Seems very comfortable so far. Lightweight, especially with higher end, lighter armor panels. Medium weighs 5.53lbs with Kevlar/Spectra soft armor. The slick setup is great for training and running a chest rig over it. I have not tried it with hard plates yet, but do not anticipate any issues. I gave it a 4/5 because it can be a little annoying lining up the sides then donning it. Small issue, and once on, fits very well.

... Great work, great quality, great name!
Into the LVAC were fitted from me the ballistics inlays and the SAPI plates precise! Nothing wobbles, neither too largely, or small. Therefore a life-saving quality of the LVAC is guaranteed!
A very comfortable wearing has the LVAC. From the body height, as well as body width one can put the LVAC easily! Am very contented and to have bought gladly these LVAC and is not penitent at all! It is the LVAC every cent of value.
Can recommend the LVAC to everybody without hesitation

LVAC for Patrol Use	January 30, 2010

I purchased the LVAC and panels as a replacement for my PD patrol body armor. I was replacing a Second Chance Monarch IIIA vest. The extra coverage for the BALCS cut is a world apart. The panels do not curl and generally stay put. I have worn it over 3 seasons from the hot NY summer to the winter. In the summer the carrier moves slightly up into my neck mostly while in the patrol car due to the smooth Under Armor shirt I wear to deal with the sweat. I will be sewing something tacky onto the inside to deal with it. During the winter it is a nice addition to my turtleneck and jacket to keep me warm. I keep a 6x8 plate in the front which I usually forget is there. I wear my backup attached to the straps and it stays in one place. I am quite happy with the LVAC and it shows the same quality and durability at other Eagle Ind. products. SKD hit a Home Run with this exclusive.
