Esstac 1911 Quad Runner Pouch

Now you can carry 4 x 1911 magazines while using the belt space normally needed for 2. Like the DBL KYWI M4 Pouch, the rear mag leans forward when the front is removed. Can I get a Hallelujah?

This thing is great August 3, 2017

It is pretty tight in the begining but if you leave mags in it over night and occasionally do some reloading drills then it will loosen up a bit.

It can be hard to grab mags when they are side by side if you have large hands or wear gloves, but a simple solution is to have the outer mags sticking out about an inch or so. The retention will still be strong so it won't fall out but will you give you enough surface area to grab that first one and reload quickly.

Also, once the outer mag is removed the inner mag will continue to be held in place, but will slightly cant away from your body so that the base plate will be inline with where the outer mag was, resulting in you only needing muscle memory for one location and allowing for quicker reloads.

Seconding Hanse's views June 23, 2017

Hanse is right.  Giving it 4 out of 5 because I haven't found anything better, but it doesn't really deserve that. It's far too aggressive a hold for my uses.

The plastic wedge hold very strong.  You might want to have some kind of baseplate to grip or use gloves. If your hands are slightly sweaty or if you use traditional mags with no base, it's very difficult to pull the mags.  It's also nearly impossible to reinsert mags one-handed once they're pulled.  Also it is open ended, so you can't use it without the inserts. There also isn't any way to adjust the tension.  But if you value hold above all, this is for you.

Pros- it is super compact, rides well on an Emdom battle belt without flopping, and the wedges stay in place very well.

Great mag pouch.  Make sure you order some malice clips with it.

As good as it gets, but have yet to find a 5 star. May 28, 2013
Reviewer: Hanse Davion from Kaliban
Im not going to give this product a 5 star simply because getting the first mag out when you need to reload can be a little more difficult than a single mag pouch.  With that said, it is a great way to free up some real estate on your gear.  The plastic material used to hold the mags is also a rigid enough if you were to need a surface to rack your slide on your weapon, should the need arise.  Some may not also like that when there is only one mag in a slot, it may not be retained enough for some people's preferences.

I would not give any other 1911 mag pouch a 5 star either, so this is as good as it gets in my opinion.  Overall, excellent!

Pros- Takes up hardly any real estate.  Two of these take as much space as 3 Eagle 1911 mag holders, but can carry 5 more mags.

Cons- Can be hard to draw first mag, especially if wearing gloves.  Single mag in holder may be too loose for some.  No MOLE on the outside of the pouch.
