Esstac Chest Rig, Boar A1 (Split Front)

The Esstac Boar holds up to 8 M4 magazines internally, with or without Magpuls. These integral mag pockets have open bottoms so sand, dirt or water drains immediately. Great for operations ranging from amphibious to mounted and urban. 20 PALS channels to mount your other pouches. Side-release buckles at all strap attachment points for easy on/off. If the Boar is too much chest rig, the Bush Boar has 2 fewer M4 pouches, and a total of 16 PALS channels, and the Trim Bush is even smaller.

One of the most innovative features of the Boar system is that the integral mag pouches can be removed and swapped out for a different configuration or weapon system. This makes the Boar the only chest rig that is truly a system and more versatile than any other rig on the market.

Got multiple weapons? Here`s a sample of how the Boar can adapt to your needs. Take the Boar in the M4 configuration, which will hold 8 mags. Then add the 7.62 back panel and AK flaps. The back panels can be swapped out quickly and this would give you complete coverage for 3 weapons systems. Since the front remains intact, you don`t have to move utility pouches from one rig to another, or buy multiple complete rig setups!

Good peice of gear February 21, 2012
Reviewer: Steve from Bend, OR United States
A well made peice of gear. Durable, well thought out. Good workmanship. Once you see how much work is put into making this you'll appreciate how little it costs compared to the time and material put into it. Highly recommended.

Split front makes on/off easy June 14, 2011
Reviewer: Sean from PA United States
If youre looking at the split vs the traditional front Boar go for the split as you only lose 2 columns of molle for such an easy on/off.

Esstac Chest Rig, Boar A1 (Split Front) January 24, 2011
Reviewer: Drew P. from Afghanistan
Went through two other racks and loading my kit on my plate carrier before I got to this bit of kit. Really tops, oddly alleviates much of the back pain associated with being overloaded and rides nice and high, distributes the weight well, esp. after 10k dismounted when you want to get back on the truck and RTB.

Really recommend the padded harness to throw a hydration carrier on the back and keep the straps off your neck. The sleeve set is genius, don't worry about the butt stock retention sleeve it's tan not black.

Won't look back, esstac really fits the bill and there's nothing I'd rather hump up these mountains.

Esstac Boar A1 September 12, 2010
Reviewer: David from Afghanistan
I have worn this rig since coming to Afghanistan for my second deployment and absolutely love it.  I have worn it mounted and dismounted without issue, over both the OTV and IOTV, also both with and without the neckguards. The straps do not rub against my neck, which was a big concern of mine. The Boar setup gives me enough rail space that I can shift all my gear rearwards under my arms and still leave my front flush to go prone.

I have the 5.56, 7.62 and flat backer panels so I have the option of switching from our M14 to M4, and flat to a SAW within seconds.  The split front option is perfect for quickly getting the vest on over armor and even to open up and hang to the sides while I am resting or eating.

The strap material is very durable and has not even started to fray, and I have stepped on the buckles several times and they have not cracked, both of which I have experienced on the several rigs I have used in the past. I definitely recommend this rig.
