Esstac Double KYWI 556 Mag Pouch

The Esstac DBL 556 Pouch Utilizes the same Open Bottom design as the Wedge and Boar series products that allow dirt and foreign debri to easily fall from the pouch. The DBL KWYI insert allows for fast magazine changes yet holds the magazines firmly in place through all activities. Both magazines are held under tension from the kydex wich acts as a spring, once the front magazine is removed the back magazine "Leans" forward for easier removal. The DBL KWYI comes with an optional elastic keeper to help retain the magazine if greater retention is desired once the front magazine is removed.

The rubber MOLLE attachments and the super tight MOLLE backing made this thing a bear to get on my belt.  In general, the profile was too high so I'm going back to single stack mag pouch.  the KYWI lock works very well however, so its a very nice way of holding mags for fast deployment.

Esstac KYWI is a reliable system to retain m4/16 magazines with the ability to efficiently conduct reloads by just pulling up on the magazine. I have been testing these pouches for several months and I am very impressed with the quality and simplicity of ESSTAC products.  KYWI is great for people who only have an AR and do not run different caliber multiple rifles [which is the selling point of HSGI tacos]. SKD has fast low cost shipping. Definitely will recommend these to anyone!
