Esstac M4 Double Wedge Mag Pouch

The Esstac M4 wedge series pouch is the most innovative single M4 pouch available anywhere. The quick-draw bungee system is both adjustable and removable for a quick unfettered emergency reload. The harness in which the magazine rides is completely removable from the outer pouch, giving it unprecedented adjustability. By simply manipulating the depth of the magazine harness you can create a pouch that retains in any situation, to a pouch that exposes enough magazine for a new speed record on your emergency reload. Now a single pouch allows you options for complete retention, complete speed, and everywhere in between. As with all Esstac gear, the construction on this pouch is bomb-proof. I bought two Esstac M4 Double Wedge pouches for a carbine class that I will be attending this summer.  The bungee retention loops that came with the pouches are ok, but the top edges of the hook & look straps would catch on my magazines' feed lips when I tried to insert them into the pouches.  The bungees also had a tendancy to get in the way during magazine insertion, making insertion a two-handed process.  I replaced the bungee loops with Esstac KYWI inserts and now magazine insertions and extractions are fast and simple.  I think the KYWI inserts will provide enough tension on the magazines so that they will remain secure even during rigorous movement.  Thanks, SKD, for great products, great prices, and great service!

I forgot to order the kydex inserts with this, but I really like the quality and especially the ability to adjust the height of the mags.  I use it on a belt and can adjust the mags down to where they project about 2" above the belt line so I still have plenty of freedom to move and can grab the top of the mag easily.   This is a very nice mag pouch.

Unique mag pouch with extra thought June 17, 2011

I bought these for a very specific purpose.  I needed to invert these to sit horizontally on my SO TECH Go bag.  I bought them soley based on the unique molle spacing versatility, but I have now found them to be just a great product over all.  The ability to seat your mags at different heights is ingenious and the quality is very high.  The mags fit securely and this is now my most favorite mag pouch yet.

Just received the pouch.  Attached it to my Interceptor vest.  I like how securely it attaches to the vest. Mags fit easily.  I think I am going to try it with the kydex inserts when available. Have yet to take it to the field but it likes it will perform. May end up getting the triple if it works out. Definitely would recomend SKD!!!!  Good price.  Quick turnaround.  Awesome, Thanks.

Very well made, durable pouch. Really like the depth adjustability, giving me the possibility to run my mags a little higher. This makes reloading a little easier, since I have other pouches attached to my wedges. I have a few of these and like to use them as some kind of base layer on my carrier

The pouch holds up really well. The PALS on the front are pretty tight, so any pouch attached to the front will have a nice, secure fit.
