Esstac M4 Double Wedge w/ KYWI

The KYWI revolution has come full circle- ESSTAC Wedges are now available with KYWI's installed in both 5.56 and 7.62. These unique hand-formed Kydex Wedge Inserts (KYWI) will give you just the right retention for secure carriage of your loaded mags, with immediate release with a sharp pull of the magazine. These install on your kit with Malice Clips (not included). Add some KYWI capability to your mags today!

If your looking for a fast reload, with positive retention look no further. I am now able to do fast tactical reloads without fumbling with bungees or worrying about my mags falling out while bounding. Best of all just like they claim if you can add it, it's in stock and SKD will ship it the next day, awesome service..

I purchased this pouch on suggestion from my Carbine Class instructor.

This simple pouch was purchased as an alternative to the cost of HSGI Tacos and ITW Fastmags.  While it is not as versatile as a Taco, it does the same job and function of a Fastmag at the fraction of the weight and price.  

The retention is very good for AR15 30rd, P-Mags, and can be coaxed to hold Saiga 5.45/AK74 magazines if necessary.  The lack of bungee or flaps make magazines accessible at any time.

I have it fastened to a HSGI Padded belt which required some more height to draw from.   Another reviewer mentioned that the magazine seating is too deep for speed reloads, the KYWI insert can be moved to accommodate different magazine heights.  This will help with your height requirements.

Mag pouch perfect for 20rd pmag March 2, 2012

I love this mag pouch.  im using it for hunting and i carries both my 20 rd pmags (10rd limiters) perfect. no rattling around and just enough tension to keep them secure but not so much that im fighting to get the mag out.   *use ranger plates with your 20rd mags.

A Very Good Pouch June 30, 2011

Holds magazines very securely. My only problem with it would be that it's a little deep for a speed reload pouch. However, you can pull the magazine out surprisingly far without sacrificing the pouch's retention, so you can let the mag ride high in the pouch if you need to.
