Esstac M4 Single Wedge Mag Pouch

The Esstac M4 wedge series pouch is the most innovative single M4 pouch available anywhere. The quick-draw bungee system is both adjustable and removable for a quick unfettered emergency reload. The harness in which the magazine rides is completely removable from the outer pouch, giving it unprecedented adjustability. By simply manipulating the depth of the magazine harness you can create a pouch that retains in any situation, to a pouch that exposes enough magazine for a new speed record on your emergency reload. Good Idea, Poor Execution May 20, 2012

I have been using this product for a month now overseas. It needs improvement. Observations

-Molle webbing only attached in two places around the entire outside of the pouch. Anything you attach flops all over the place and gets even worse when mags are removed.

-The retention system velcro wears out quickly and makes mag insertion a time consuming chore, as it the magazine will just pull one side of the retention sleeve away from the velcro and down into the outer sleeve.

Unless you want to add the kywi later and will bar tac your own webbing, this product is a poor choice.

Well made, looks as advertized. I like the adjustability for diff size mags. The price is quite good compared to other sim products.

These singles seem well built and a great deal for the value.  The only thing I don't like is they the pouches are completely open on the bottom.  Depending on where you put the cradle that adjusts the ride height if the magazine, the bottom can have some unsupported slack to it.  All in all I'd buy these again as the negative is minor and the price is right.

Quality material. Well constructed. 3 stars because the molle straps are not tacked down. This leads to molle attachments flopping around.

Awesome pouch, adjustable depth, and it's easier to remove PMAGs from this pouch than other shingle-type.  I wish the MOLLE on the back was divided in order to keep it from moving quite so much.  It is handy though, as you can force it to fit into a single column space.
