Great pads, but room for improvement April 1, 2013

I bought these for a crye jpc, which comes with no pads whatsoever. They definitely make life a lot easier especially considering how much crap I've got on it. I do wish the elastic for routing hydro/commo was a tad wider. I also would have liked a more breathable mesh padding instead of just cordura over padding.

Right idea, poor design/craftsmenship November 17, 2012

WAY OVERPRICED!  I must have had a bad batch, because the quality of things are below shitty.  I could have/should have made some better pads with a pair of socks and Multicam shirt.  

Definitely had the right idea with the "Cable and Wiring Management"  but because of the quality of materials, the loops wont stayed velcro. Didn't compensate for the plate carrier straps either.  Real tight fit, barely got it velcro'd (if it will even stay)

Wouldnt recommend this product.  Stick with the homemades or HSGI.

Was a little disappointed  at first when i got these. I purchased them instead of the TAG shoulder pads (which are A LOT CHEAPER) mainly because i felt that i could stick my LTA3A armor in them. I felt this because of the shape (almost identical to my armor) and because i read it as if THEY were the armor carrier and not just shoulder pads for a FirstSpear Plate Carrier. Either way i was very happy with it. A little pricey but very well made.

I read the other reviews and from what I've heard from others, I thought I would go ahead and drop the money on them. I gave them two stars instead of one because the build quality and finish were great, they were just really uncomfortable. Worn with just a plate carrier, they help spread the weight, but when you add a 30lb aid bag plus camelback, the foam compresses and puts a lot of pressure right across your shoulders. I offered to let my RTO try them, as his pack is 50lbs, and he said it is worse with than without. I think I'll go back to my HSGI pads
