Gerat Med Unit - Lots of staps and such May 9, 2012

This is a very nice pouch.  I got the large and I am glad I did.  It fits everything I need for trauma wounds and no more.  Perfect fold out pouch much like the one on my Turkey vest for keeping my calls.  I run this unit on the back of my battle belt.  I really wish it had a piece of velcro so I could rip it off to get it in my hands when there is a man down instead of having to drop my belt to get to my med pack.  I wrote to Esstac, and I believe they have a solution.  If so, I will update my post.  Again, expensive piece of gear until you see it.  The zippers are top notch and quiet and every detail is thought out.  Esstac gear is the BEST! SKD states the pouch does not come with MALICE clips. Wrong...Esstac ships MALICE clips with all their gear.

I can't say enough good things about the EOD Pouch.  It's BIG compared to the Mini EOD, and swallows a tremendous amount of gear.  Typical of HSGI, the stitching and material quality is excellent, and really fit my need for a dedicated FAK that I could place externally on a ruck.  The elastic and pockets are well laid out, and make organization simple, but not cluttered!

Well first off, just about anything made by HSGI is awesome. This pouch in particular is the best money I have ever spent. Quality, durability, and ingenuity. I use this pouch as a medical pouch, and it is simply wonderful. I can carry just about all the medical supplies I need and access them with ease. It is very spacious and with the combination of internal elastic, pockets and bands it makes it very easy to organize whatever it is you use it for.

Folks. This POUCH is the shyte. There is NO better IFAK/Blow-out pouch being offered. At least for my needs. It accommodates a very comprehensive load out, and remains small enough to be appropriate for your 1st line gear. Stitching, materials, and construction techniques are all typical HSGI standards. Buy it. Fill it. Run it. 'Nuff said!
