HSGI Frag Grenade Pouch Modular

The "MFPS" carries a single Framentation (baseball) Grenade. Attaches to a modular platform via a MALICE clip (supplied). Flap secures closed by either/both hook and loop and a Side Release buckle. A silencing strip is sewn within for quiet opening if Side release buckle closure id desired.

The version I have of this is the newer CB color. It appears the new color also brings new changes in materials. The webbing used to secure the buckle is a more shiny and slick webbing compared to the webbing HSGI normally uses on their other pouches. The same can be said for the rest of the pouch.  Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but with the looser webbing (which is due to it being more smooth and thinner and causes the buckles to slide) makes grenade retention a bit more difficult. I tried using it with just the buckle securing the grenade and I found I had to keep adjusting the buckle down to make sure the grenade didn't fall out. Eventually I had to use the velcro and the buckle to make sure the grenade didn't fall out. As a pouch, it does its job perfectly, but the material change makes me wary. I'm not worried about it falling apart as the construction  is top notch as I've/you'd come to expect of HSGI, but the material change is a little disconcerting.

Again Gene @ HSGI finds a way to minimize space taken up. Instead of only one pouch now you can fit two. Lite weight also.
