HSGI Mini Drop Leg Panel Modular

The Mini Modular Drop Leg Panel is a smaller version of the HSGI Modular Drop Leg Panel. Having 3 rows and 6 columns of MOLLE/PALS webbing built on top of HSGI's Diamond Back Mesh Platform system giving a cooler, non-flop comfort for the leg. Still maintaining a void behind the panel to secure a knife sheath. Comes with a quick release attachment to be releasable from the belt hanger. Made in the USA with HSGI's lifetime warranty.

The HSGI mini drop leg modular panel is just the right size for anything you'd possibly want to attach to your thigh. It's not bulky, and the shock cord elastic helps keep the rig very secure without cutting off your circulation. I've used it in the following configurations:

- HSGI modular holster + 3 HSGI pistol magazine pouches (The modular holster stays secure, but you can definitely feel the swinging weight of the pistol when you run- more of a mounting issue)

- HSGI radio pouch + tactical tailor roll-up dump bag (Great combination for holding everyday items while hiking- tools, snacks, etc. The panel rides high enough that you can reach into the bottom of your dump bag without leaning.)

The buckle is a little difficult to engage, and happens to be under my leg when I sit. I would also prefer a non hook and loop belt hanger- the belt hanger can be rather noisy as you move, especially if your belt has loop material on it. 5 star construction and function, 4 star ergonomics.

I wear this leg rig with a TAG MOLLE Shingle Pistol Enhanced Mag Pouch. It fits perfectly without any excess or unnecessary real estate.

My favorite leg rig June 21, 2010

It is so simple, yet effective.  I use it in combination with the Blue Force Gear Ten Speed Triple Magazine pouch which provides me with a low profile speed-reload setup for my fighting load.  It is just large enough for 3 AR-15 magazine pouches of virtually any kind, which can make all the difference during an operation.

Perfect for small subloads June 18, 2010

I use this to carry a HSGI Universal Mag Pouch Double and an Emdom 3o2 and it does an excellent job of it. Stays in place when your running and moving. 2 small complaints are that you need to modify if your planning on mounting it on a MOLLE belt (just took some EMT shears to it and it was fine). The other small complaint is the buckle is a bit of a pain to close. I wear it on my right leg, so the buckle is behind my thigh, so its hard to see when your trying to buckle it. Other than that, I'm very pleased with it.
