exactly as advertised March 20, 2014

Very pleased. Price was a little high but justified considering the quality and workmanship in the pouch. Was sufficiently impressed that I bought a second one for balance an capacity for my pack.

Like all other HSGI pouches March 20, 2014
Reviewer: Wake27 from Virginia
The pouch itself is decent - quality construction as always. The zippers jingle like crazy when I walk though. I didn't think it would bother me that much since I'm not sneaking around with it, but I also didn't think it would be that loud and persistent. Very annoying. Also, MALICE clips have to be the worst mounting system still in common usage. They suck. Mounting them is a huge PITA and they allow the pouch to sag and wobble because they don't hold it close. The clips that come with this are too short as well, so the bottom 3-4 inches is free to flop around or sag. This pouch works for what it is and I haven't found anything else that will work for this specific purpose, but it could be much better, especially for the price. HSGI - adopt helium whisper!

great pouch February 12, 2014

This pouch has worked great for me so far. As with all HSGI gear, the quality is outstanding. HSGI should change two things about it. The first is that one side should have complete rows of MOLLE webbing all the way down rather than skipping a row. It's really designed to be mounted to 5 rows so they skipped a row in the middle. I mounted it to 3 rows on a battle belt, so that extra row would have given me more flexibility in the vertical positioning of the pouch. The second thing is easy to fix at home. It should not have metal zipper pulls. Too noisy. I cut them off and installed paracord ones as soon as I opened the package.

Typical heavy duty construction that you'd expect from HSGI.  Easily fits a 32oz Nalgene bottle.  Fits nicely on the side of just about any pack.

HSGI Pouch/Modular July 11, 2013

Mark has it exactly right:  it will perfectly fit a Klean Kanteen 40 oz. with the stock "loop" top.  On paper, it should not fit, but the pouch is actually about 10" tall, not 9" as stated.

I will also hold four 30 round USGI mags, but not oriented the same way (three with cartridges oriented parallel with the zipper, one more oriented 90 degrees to those mags).

I haven't had a chance to put it through its paces yet, but it appears well made and tough, and fully contains the contents (unlike many canteen-type pouches).  Of course, the noisy zipper tabs have to go.
