HSGI Pistol Mag Pouch Modular, Double

The HSGI Pistol Magazine Pouch is a statement in bomb-proof engineering and construction, and is simply a kick-ass pouch. Featuring a velcro closure with a built in disengagement (silencing) feature, you can choose between buckle-only, velcro-only or both methods of retention. Works great for multitools, most 6 volt tactical lights and single and double stack pistol magazines. Available as singles, doubles, triples or quads.

These pistol mag pouches have functioned nicely attached to my Eagle M4 chest rig (also from this site). They are certainly damn near "bomb-proof" as the description noted, in fact, they may be over-engineered.

I find that the velcro and buckle combination is redundant and probably not necessary, but I just use the velcro and leave the buckle undone. The other option is equally effective.

I have been using mine for Glock 19 and 17 mags, and they both fit well. A Surefire 6P LED Defender also fits well in the pouch, and is well-retained.

Awesome design minus the Velcro.  The buckles come open easy and the mags are easily freed.  I also have the Quad, but I got this double to put on my pistol belt.

Velcro issue:
the Velcro is very noisy even with the inside covering to keep the Velcro from sticking.  I cut the Velcro cover off, and then removed the soft Velcro side from the pouch and then stuck it to the rough side on the flap, the buckle is enough to keep the mag in the pouch.

I would definitely recommend this pouch to anyone who would be carrying mags in the bush and need to ensure they are secure.

Kydex keeps pouch stiff so it isn't a pain to repopulate the pouch with fresh mags.  Takes G19 and HK45c mags no problem, so it should take all similar type mags or multiple 1911 mags per slot.  Good stuff.
