HSGI Pistol Mag Pouch Modular, Quad

The HSGI Pistol Magazine Pouch is a statement in bomb-proof engineering and construction, and is simply a kick-ass pouch. Featuring a velcro closure with a built in disengagement (silencing) feature, you can choose between buckle-only, velcro-only or both methods of retention. Works great for multitools, most 6 volt tactical lights and single and double stack pistol magazines. Available as singles, doubles, triples or quads.

This pouch set is great, except the Velcro, I hate Velcro.  The Velcro was kinda noisy with the cover strap over the other side, so if you cut the cover strap off and put it on the other side the noise is cut down to almost nothing.  The quality is excellent, I mounted it onto a Blackhawk leg mount and it works great.  I highly recommend this product.

Works, but isn't that fast to use March 15, 2010

Like some other reviews here, I also did find the buckles to be a little overkill. Also these pouches turned out to be very hard to attach to a brand new crisp CIRAS platform. Even with a Leatherman -tool I pretty much had to sweat and work my weight to get the malice clips to properly connect.. It's very tight.

I have been a keen hobbyist of pistol practical / IPSC / USPSA for years and I'm accustomed to fast action pistol shooting as a result. This mag pouch is kind of slow because of the buckles, and even with the buckles open they don't function lightning fast.

Still a good quality product. Very durable and rigid built. I ended up using mine to store a flashlight and some eating utensils in addition to pistol mags.

One Hell of a multi mag pouch but i have to agree with the other 2 reveiws the buckles are over KILL, Other then that a great unit, I cut the buckles off and gained better preformance from this unit...

As with all HSGI gear, this pouch is indestructible.  The buckles are a bit overkill if you like speed-reloading, but work great for travel and storage.  Like HSGI's description says you can change between using the velcro or not pretty easily.  Fits tightly and securely against all the vests and carriers I've tried it on.  It works equally well with 2 single-stack mags or 1 double-stack mag.

Well built pouch.  The magazines fit very good.  .  The buckles are a little over kill, all this ouch needs is velcro.
