I purchased the HSGI Radio Pouch Modular for use with MBITR's, which the pouch will hold(along with similar sized radios). Beyond that, it is a very no frills basic pouch. PALs on the front allows for the addition of other pouches, such as something for batteries or a strobe. Or whatever you want. But it is certainly not the best radio pouch out there. The radio isn't secure, and the antenna/mic cables just stick up through the opening, meaning you can't zipper it shut. While you could carry loose items like batteries in it, chances are they'd be floating at the bottom and you'd have to remove the radio to retrieve it. I'd love to see an elastic port opening for the antenna and mic cables, so that you could actually zipper the thing shut completely. On the plus side, if you find yourself not needing a radio, you can use it as a GP pouch. Overall a pouch that does the job, but is nothing special.
