HSGI UDHP Holster SKD Version (Velcro-Only Drop Leg Strap)

***This exclusive SKD version is finally answering the call from professional users who want their UDHP, but want it to ride as high as possible, allowing for a faster draw. The standard UDHP has a QD buckle which limits the adjustability when trying to mount the pistol close to the belt. Our version removes the QD option and replaces it with a straight velcro drop leg strap allowing you to mount it as high as possible, and still allows you to drop it 6"+. SKD is the only place to order these- we had to order large quantities to make this possible.***

The HSGI Universal Drop Holster Platform is a replacement suspension system for the Safariland 6004 and G-Code SOC rig. Based on the excellent HSGI Diamond mesh backing, the UDHP allows the 6004/SOC Rig user to have a secure suspension system that utilizes only one strap, allows for higher placement, rides closer to the body, and has a modular PALS interface. Also, the UDHP incorporates a Quick Release drop leg strap with two belt mounts.

Installation of your holster is easy- simply remove the holster body from it`s current backing, and reinstall on the UDHP with the existing bolt hardware. All you need to do is make a few holes (see link for detailed instructions- UDHP Instructions).

This is NOT a complete holster- you must install a holster body such as the Safariland 6004 or ALS to utilize this system.

This platform does exactly what it says it was designed for. I previously was using a Safariland Drop Holster and everyone I ran, my rig would rotate up. The HSG UDHP stats put and is very comfortable.

SKD has managed to make a real-world, no bs mod to an already awesome holster platform.  It solves the issue of getting the holster up high on the leg, an issue I've had with every other holster of this style.  All the supposed hs/ld buckles and other gimmicky add-ons do nothing but make this kind of adjustment almost non-existent.  On the other hand, I do not require my holster to come on and off in an instant.  The holster performs very well providing a stable platform from which to draw and the ability to adjust it up high minimizes the platform's movement while loaded with heavy items in addition to a handgun.  This is a simple and effective solution to the problem without requiring home modifications or removal of unnecessary attachment points and quick disconnects.  HSGI has been one of my go-to companies for bomber and well thought out gear for years, SKD has made it better with CS to match.

Perfect thigh rig!!! June 30, 2011

I purchased this rig in MC and it has been great. I am 5'11" and about 200lbs and this rig fits me perfectly. I had to let most of the leg strap out (I've got pretty thick legs) but it fits great and the bungee adds just the right amount of give. This package deal comes with two HSGI pistol pouches that are bomb proof and make a sweet deal. If you are looking for the perfect high rise thigh rig, this one is it hands down!

I had been eyeballing one of these for a while and the SUCKIT code made it irresistible.  I actually give it 4.5 stars but that was not an option.

I was able to mount my Safariland holster in about 5 min with a soldering iron.  The youtube video is great.  Very solid mounting and works great.  I really like the the height of the set up and it stays put unlike most others I have used.  

The only small issues I found were that the strap that secures the velcro strap just kinda sticks out with no real way to secure it.  I am reluctant to cut it in case I put in a different holster.  Second was that one of the 2 rows of pals for mounting was a bit short so it is tight fit to mount the 2 included pistol mag pouches.  And, would be quite difficult to mount anyone else's pouches.

Best drop holster I have ever used July 2, 2010

I do alot of hiking with a pack and needed my XD to be ready. Most other drop holsters are just uncomfortable and this one has the mesh material with the shock cord is simply the most comfortable drop holster I have used, I pretty much forget it is there. It is also easy to put on and take off due to the fact you do not have to remove your belt and the one strap for your leg. I also like how modular it is with accesories as I carry a tac light and extra mag on it as well. Thanks for a great product at a great price!
