HawkePaks Recon Rifle Bag

by Tyler
HawkePaks Recon Rifle Bag - I think I'm falling in love with this bag.....Initially I thought this might be too small, but once i threw it on it seemed good size as far as daily a shoulder bag goes. I came to appreciate the externally mounted bottle pouch, as I try to tote water with me wherever I go. And it loads well, the shoulder strap/pad was well thought out, with plenty of strap for adjustment. Internal facilites offer a lot to creativity, with the back wall being solid velcro loop and the opposite wall is elastic PALS. There are also a couple slip pockets on the interior sides, great place for a couple pens. Exterior has a lot of options for carriage: from the shoulder strap to a waist belt/leg strap strap to the option for belt attach or even butt-pack style carriage (provided you know a properly qualified parachute rigger). End pouches are now MOLLE for increased options, thigh strap replaced with a removable waist belt, and the belt clips are removed entirely. Shoulder strap now uses an HK style clip for durability. In addition, the shoulder strap is now a 20 shell bandolier for 12 gauge. Carries 6 x 30rd M-16 mags. 2 end pouches on the inside, 1 large concealed map pocket, 1 x 2 position inside divider w/ pouches, and universal holster. Made in the USA with 1000D Cordura. Dimensions: 9"Wx10"Hx5"D.

This is a great piece of gear for EDC June 30, 2011
Reviewer: John Henrichsen from Sachse, TX United States
Was pleasantly surprised by the quality and workmanship of this bag.  Materials are rugged, and stitching and attention to detail is excellent.  I am able to carry all the mags, lights, and pistol with room left over for whatever else I may need for the day.  My only complaint is that the bag does not want to stand up on its own, and falls over when placed on the floor.  Thats the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating.

Great Range/Go Bag! June 15, 2011
Reviewer: Cameron from IN United States
I love this bag! It's not too big, but I have plenty of room for mags, a pistol, and a few boxes of ammo. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a simple and efficient bag.

Favorite bail out bag September 6, 2010
Reviewer: 404gator from Atlanta, GA United States
I own several quality 'bail-out' type bags and this is my favorite.  This is the highest quality bag of this type that I have used in a Law Enforcement capacity.  Well constructed, ample storage space, and you can still access two of the exterior rifle mag pouches without having to unbuckle the main flap, which helps reduce your reload time.  The divider in the main compartment helps keep trauma items separated from extra ammo, etc.  There are plenty of pockets and ways to separate and organize your gear.  My only complaint is that the shoulder pad could use a little more padding, similar to the closed cell foam found on some popular tactical slings; NOT a big deal though.  The map pocket does not have a way to close, but I have tranported maps in that compartment and had no trouble retaining them.  It's made in the USA (the only gear I will buy) and worth the extra money ('buy once, cry once').  I highly recommend for all LE for rapid deployment incidents.

Great Bug Out Bag. August 27, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Afghanistan.
I use this bag in our armoured Toyota Land Cruisers. We keep 6 extra 5.56 mags, 3 extra 9 mm mags, MNVGS, Chem sticks, Frags, and Para flares in EVERY vehicle within reach of the TC in case of a bail out situation. This bag is durable like you wouldnt belive!!!! Well build, tonnes of storage.
