The C.L.A.S.H. Hook [Conventional Latch Attachment Snap Hook] was designed to meet the needs of sling and strap applications that require a quick-on feature with spring loaded retention gate. The body is made from one solid steel stamping and has a slot designed to accept 1” webbing for weapon slings. If your application demands an all metal heavy tensile load system, C.L.A.S.H. These will work attaching a VCAS to a bolt gun inside a AICS, but I have to scrunch the webbing down a bit. Would be nice if they were just a bit wider (or available at 1 1/4" ) to more easily accomodate this common sling width.

The hooks are 1" at the far end of the internal bevel for the webbing receptacle.  The hinges are well made and don't squeak (though if you want to make that last longer, perhaps some froglube...).

There is a hole on the upper side (opposite the hook opening) which I found useful to turn a 2-point sling to a 1-point sling using 2 identical hooks.  Just make sure your strap is short enough, or your muzzle will say hi to your toes.

Well worth the money if you need attachment hardware that is solid and smooth.

Weps retention made easier February 3, 2013

Has a more user friendly latch tension than other HK hooks I've used. Not too stiff, not too loose.
