MSM 5-01-11 Patch

MSM wanted to class it up since it seemed guaranteed there were going to be a lot of shot in the face kind of designs so here is something you might actually be able to wear to work. 5-01-2011 is the date we finally hunted down ol' Osama Bin Laden (USA date) and this patch is a reminder to those that may harm us. Symbolism wise there are the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and PA Keystone in the middle to represent the Flight 93 crash site. Geronimo was the code name for Bin Laden.
As for the KIA term, not everyone is going to agree with me, but I think the code message shows professional restraint, much like that of the operators who completed the mission. The KIA usage has nothing to do with respect and is all about keeping on task with deceiving the enemy, ready for the next fight.
"After a 40-minute search of the compound, punctuated by firefights, bin Laden was dead, and the cryptic "Geronimo-E KIA" code sent relief through the White House. E stood for enemy and KIA for killed in action." -ABC News
3" x 1.4", Hook velcro sewn on the back.

Great message... October 7, 2015

I really liked all the little things put into to this patch to remember 9/11 and also to commemorate getting OBL with the "Geronimo E-KIA".  Well made, and certainly worth a couple bucks to have a great reminder of all those who sacrificed so much.  FTWGA.

Awesome design. Well done. I got questions about it the first day I slapped it on my pack. Thanks, guys.

Cool patch December 8, 2013

I've had a few comments about this patch, most positive, and like its conservative nature.  The backing connects the patch securely to my bag.  Not much more I can say about a patch.
