Magpul AFG2 Angled Fore Grip

The Magpul AFG2 (Angled Fore-Grip) is a rail-mounted forward grip/index point designed to improve weapon ergonomics and increase shooter speed and efficiency. Unlike conventional vertical fore-grips, the AFG2 takes into account natural body mechanics to provide a comfortable and stable user interface, reducing fatigue and allowing for more precise weapon control. By positioning the shooter's hand high on the center line of the bore, the AFG2 helps mitigate recoil, facilitating faster, more accurate follow-up shots.

The AFG2 is a slim line design that is shorter in overall length and width compared to the AFG1. Smaller size allows for compatibility with a wider variety of rail systems, rail covers, and accessory mounts.



Features 

  • Polymer three-piece design with an interchangeable finger shelf that allows for a flat "A1-style" surface or an "A2-style" finger nub. 

  • Mounts to MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny and NATO STANAG 4694 rails (min. of ~3" recommended).

I wanted the best and Magpul has delivered. This angled fore grip is perfect for those who need to be able to shoot over barrier without exposing themselves and yet maintain the ability to keep control of the weapon.

Fits my normal grip January 11, 2012

Not high speed low drag at all, but seems to feel natural to someone who has mostly hunting firearms. Only used the single screw to attach to my rail and there is a bit of a rattle. This was just a test fit, so there may be more to tighten.

Great fore grip! it is a little odd at first, yet with some time on range it is very nice. Big plus is the design, it will not snag like vertical grips.

The Magpul AFG2 Angled Fore-grip (it's not abbreviated as F.A.G or foreward angled grip, fyi) is a great asset to have on my BCM mid-length 16" upper. I replaced my RVG with this in order to get a better gripping pattern. It's SUPER comfortable and it comes with customizable finger notches. It's not too bulky and it will fit on the largest polymer rail section from Magpul.

Nonetheless, the Magpul AFG2 is intended for use in a forward position with a mid-length/rifle length hand-guard/rail system. It will work on anything, but I don't think it would suit a carbine very well. This is a niche product and it should only be purchased if you have an actual use for it.
