DESCRIPTION

Magpul ASAP Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point

The ASAP was designed to give a shooter over 180 degrees range of motion of the sling attachment point and can be used ambidextrously by both left or right handed shooters. This sling mount gives the shooter a tactical advantage allowing a full range of motion and minimizes binding while switching shoulders. This is particularly important in situations such as shooting around corners or if the shooter was injured. The ASAP is designed for use with Single-Point slings with a snap hook (such as the Magpul MS2 Sling) on CAR-15/M4 Carbines.

Made in the USA

Features
  • Solid cast steel plate
  • Durable welded link ring
  • Works with both Military and Commercial Carbine Receiver Extensions
  • Mil-Spec Black Manganese Phosphate finish

MagPul ASAP February 26, 2013
Reviewer: Bart from Va
I like it. So far so good. Using it in conjunction with a MagPul front sling attachment and MS3 sling. Very easy to transition my long gun from strong to support (don't like the term "weak" side) side when working different corners/angles

Great Product January 30, 2013

Not having much "tactical experience" i wanted something that would offer functionality and simplicity.  The ASAP by far has met my expectation of both as a novice shooter. Does not fit lower receivers with built in QD mounts thou....would recommend!

Good choice for anyone January 10, 2013
Reviewer: JM from Moncure, NC United States
Of all the sling attachment points I have tried I like this the most.  It lets the weapon hang naturally on its own and when you shoulder the weapon it falls out of the way better than the side type slings.
I was worried about the potential rattle but in use it really isn't an issue.
The only down side is you don't have the quick detatch feature as you would have on the Vltor style sling attachments.

Magpul ASAP Sling - Standard on all my AR's January 9, 2013
Reviewer: Jason from Cedar Park, TX United States
I built out a couple more AR's and this is just a standard item on all my AR's. Wish they made them for my AK.
I prefer a single point bungee sling, & the ASAP allows it to hook up perfectly. In 3gun I rarely ever have to shoot left handed, but IDPA carbine requires you to do more "shooting from cover", as one would want to do in a real engagement. This sling is perfect for right to left hand transitioning (or vise-versa). I've never had the sling get caught up during a transition.
I've heard people say that the steel ring makes a bit of noise, but when a sling is attached, the weight holds it down & I haven't noticed any excessive noise. Besides... cracking off a bunch of rounds is Much louder.

Awesome single point! January 8, 2013
Reviewer: Ryan from Lakewood, CO United States
I've had a few buffer tube single point mounts and this is by far the best I've ever screwed with.  First, its beefy as hell!  Good luck bending that puppy!  And the way it actually wraps around the back of the lower receiver definitely gives it alot of extra strength and may take some of the stress of the receiver extension.  With the right setup its much more natural switching to offhand shooting and just lets your rifle move alot more freely without the sling getting in the way.  Overall... Ill be swapping these on to my other two rifles that run single point slings with.  Im not a magpul fanboy by any means but I can safely say they did darn well on this items design.
