Magpul Extended Length Ladder Rail Protectors


Provides a very low profile grip.

Protects the operator from sharp rail edges.

Protects unmounted rail areas from damage.

Prevents damage to gear, such as rappelling ropes, that may be abraded or cut by uncovered rail sections.

The Santoprene covers provide a rubbery surface for improved weapon control.

Two slots longer than a carbine length rail - easily cut for custom fitting. Each protector covers 17 slots of rail.

Can be installed or removed from top rail without removing handguard from weapon.

Sold in single strips.

I really love the feel of these rail covers.   They will also protect your firearm from scratches and dents without changing the basic look of your picatinny rail system.  These are a great, noninvasive alternative to larger rail cover options from Magpul.

Very nice rail covers. Very low profile when installed so the handguard doesn't get too wide. Easy to cut. Can be painted.

Purchased a few of these ladder protectors for two different rail systems, Daniel Defense and Troy Industries.

The ladder protectors fit snug and offer a super slim profile. They add a decent amount of protection, but heat will transfer through to your hands.

The ability to cut and fit the protectors where needed is a huge plus. Though, for a small plastic panel, it is a bit pricey.

Overall, another solid Magpul product.

Pros: Slim profile with a variety of colors.

Cons: A bit pricey for a small plastic panel.
