The MBUS (Magpul Back-Up Sight) is a low-cost, color injection molded, folding back-up sight. The dual aperture MBUS Rear Sight is adjustable for windage and fits all mil-spec 1913 Picatinny rail equipped weapons, but is specifically tailored to the AR15/M16/M4 platform.

These are nice, light weight back up sights. I really liked the flip feature. I did upgrade to the Troy though.

Perfect back up sight for anyone wanting to use a low profile dot or holo sight. It holds zero extremely well. Mine has taken a beating and is still dead on.

Unmatched in its price range, the MBUS is the perfect low cost solution for those in need of a BUIS without a lot to spend.  It weighs virtualy nothing and is low profile when folded down.  A simple but well designed appature will do the job.

Currently using the Magpul MBUS Back Up Rear Sight on my MP 15-22:

LIKE:
1. Perfect for iron sight or co-witness.  
2. Like the polymer concept, as metal tends to get scratched, not matter how careful you are.
3. Spring-loaded goodness. Sights pop up when you need it, locks down when you don't.

DISLIKE:
1. Hard to adjust. Used a needle nose pliers to turn the post up/down.

Overall, a sturdy, tight-functioning BUIS that has a pricetag that can't be beat.

First rate quality, easy to install July 3, 2010

I purchased this and a Magpul handguard for my LMT carbine. Both exhibit high quality and were easy to install. The sight appears to be rugged and has held zero perfectly. The handguard stays very cool in sustained fire and I mounted a Surefire light using Magpul's rail sections.
