MIAD - MIssion ADaptable AR15/M16 Grip Kit


The patent-pending MIAD (MIssion ADaptable) Grip is a drop-in replacement for the standard AR15/M16/M4 pistol grip, designed to improve weapon ergonomics. Interchangeable front and rear straps, as well as a range of storage core options allow the end user to adjust the grip for hand size as well as dynamic mission requirements. All mounting hardware is included.

NOTE: For proper operation with 7.62 NATO AR10/SR25 style of rifles, the MIAD Grip Wedge is recommended.

  • Removable and replaceable front and rear panels for a custom fit over multiple hand sizes
  • Improved ergonomics and positive anti-slip texture on both sides and rear back-strap
  • Removable inner core that allows for storage (3-round plug included)
  • Custom storage of batteries (waterproof) or spare bolt/firing pin is available with optional cores
  • Kit includes three size back-straps (S,M,L), two front-straps (A1 and A2 style), 3-round core plug, and installation hardware

This grip pinches my finger just below the trigger guard.  Since my Bushmaster Superlight AR has a molded trigger guard, I cannot use a gapper to resolve the issue.  My repeated requests for an RMA Return Authorization Number from SkdTach have been ignored.  They seem wonderful prior to the sale, but have fallen short after.  I am not happy at all with this transaction!

This is my favorite grip for the AR-15.  Simple installation and much more comfortable than the other after-market grips I have tried.  Every rifle I own has one.

When I first got my AR I was super excited and was able to overlook many things. But after a while I grew tired of the grip. I don't have huge hands or anything but it just felt too small and didn't fill out my hand at all. I purchased the MIAD grip and all I have to say is, I'm never going back. The interchangeable straps are great for when the ladies want to shoot, it fills my hand, and you can store spare parts in the well. What more could you ask for..it's already a great product, and it's offered at a great price too.

If you find that the standard A2 grip is a little too small for your hands, or you would like to better customize the grip on your AR, this grip is exactly what you want.  It features multiple grip panels that are easily changeable without the use of tools, and can be customized to the user's preferences in under a minute.  It's a great grip that is a hundred times better than the standard.

I had tried a few different grips for my AR.  The standard A2 grip is horrible, and for a while I really liked the Hogue Overmolded grip.  I really liked the fact that I could change the front straps and backstraps on the MIAD kit, so I decided to give it a try.  I found it to be comfortable and got the size dialed in.  In stock form, the grip didn't feel "grippy" enough, but after about an hour with a soldering iron, the grip now has the bite it needs.
