Magpul MS2 Multi-Mission Sling, Black

Driven by the operational experience of Magpul Dynamics™ instructors, the MS2™ Multi-Mission Sling System was designed to give a versatile weapon-retention solution for a multitude of tactical environments and missions. As a standalone product, the rapidly-convertible MS2™ allows an operator to leverage the maneuverability of single-point® attachment for direct-action, or two-point attachment for stability. Single-hand adjustments, quick-detach lanyard and positive-locking metal hardware provide flexibility and durability in a truly adaptable sling system.

When the Magpul MS2 is used in conjunction with the Magpul® ASAP™ plate (sold separately), the MS2™ enables seamless transitions into an array of shooting positions without getting bound or fouled. The MS2™ concept allows switching from Weapon Shoulder to Reaction Shoulder for shooting around corners, under vehicles, or to minimize exposure. The MS2™ can also increase operator survivability by keeping the weapon in the fight in case of injury to the operator’s shoulder, arm, or hand.

The concept is simple: Your survivability rate dramatically increases if your gear allows you to move freely in a dynamic environment.

good sling, not perfect but it does the job.  I wish it was a little wider for a bit more comfort.  The hardware is top notch and very easy to go from single point to 2 point.

Needs a little work. July 12, 2010

I am a full time patrol officer and part time SWAT operator.  The ability to lengthen or shorten the sling on the fly with a single hand by a sliding the adjustment loop is an incredible feature that I use often as I transition between roles and different sized body armor.  

In single point, transitioning from strong to weak hand and back is fast.

The sling is advertised as being able to quickly transition from single point to two point but the hardware can be difficult to manipulate .  The attachment point to convert from single to two has a locking device which can almost "jam" in place and not allow for the hardware to be unlocked.  

I would prefer that the strap be wider.  The strap can get uncomfortable on the shoulders over time and could benefit from being padded.  I've also had the strap twist where the length adjustment takes place, making the loop difficult to slide.

Great sling July 2, 2010

This is by far and away the best sling I've used so far.  The ability to quickly transition from a one point to a two point and easily secure my rifle on my back is huge.  My only complaint with that, and this is probably because I need to break it in just a little more, is that in the beginning, it's kind of awkward and difficult to pull the loop tight across my chest to secure my rifle.  It's definitely gotten easier quickly though.  But once it's tightened down, it doesn't loosen up until I want it to.
My only other issue with the sling is the quick release point.  It seems to release with very little effort, almost too little.  It hasn't accidentally released on me yet, but it's something I worry about occasionally.
Other than those two things, this sling is absolutely fantastic.  The hardware is all solid, very sturdily stitched, top quality all around.  This will definitely be a part of all my rifles for a long time to come.

This sling combines the best of both worlds. You get the maneuverability of a single point sling, then when you need it, it can be converted to a two point for comfort.  Transitions are quick.  Another Excellent Magpul product!
