Magpul XTM Rail Panel

The new low-profile XTM™ Rail Panels are a two-piece design that attach anywhere on the rail without having to remove previously-mounted accessories. The combination of design and material used in the XTM™ Panels ensures they will remain securely in place under all operating conditions, but may be easily removed using the tips of two rounds when necessary.

Each set comes with (4) two-piece panels which will cover one side of a carbine rail.

Magpul XTM Panels April 23, 2013

I got the Magpul Panels to finish the rails on my DD V5. I installed a 6 inch Scar panel on each side of the rail and on each end of the Scar panel I installed two sets of the Magpul XTM's in black and flat dark earth in a checkered board pattern. I turned out perfect. The fit and finish Madpul XTM Panels complimented the looks of the DD. Installation of the XTM were a piece of cake.

Incredibly difficult to install/remove February 12, 2013

I installed these on a surefire picatinny rail system, which has mounted multiple other accessories, mounts, and rail covers without issue. I was only able to get two pairs to fully snap together, and then when I decided to take them apart, found that to be even more difficult. Ended up just cutting the flexible rail covers that came with the quad-rail to length and installing them around my accessories.
For the seller, I can say that SKD processed and delivered very fast, and overall was a good experience with them.

Plasticky, hard to manipulate rail covers that definitely work once installed. For ease of use though, the ladder style covers are more efficient, these provide a better grip. Plus it's Magpul, so it's like complaining that something is too efficient and smart like a Honda, but people will.
