I used to have an old USMC pouch. I couldn't ever get anything out of that pouch unless I ripped everything out, the FIGHT pouch changed that with the tear-away panel. I don't know how I lived without it. Unclip the fastex, and pull away with the red handle revealed under the top flap. If you actually have an emergency, it's off your belt, on the ground, and all the way open before you could even try to dig though the USMC pouch. The two clear 'pockets' allow the user to see what they need, where it is, and keeps it all organized even with the pouch opened up on the ground. It's also massive. You can keep it thin, but mine is packed full. It's about 6" deep right now, and it doesn't feel like it's going to burst. On the top flap, there is a small zippered pouch where you can put band-aids and tape for minor injuries. It's easy to get to so you don't have to open up your entire kit.
