Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack, S-Type

Point (1) The S-Type JUMBO’s main compartment is over 38% larger than the Fatboy S-Type. In addition, it has three zippered accessory pockets, two sleeve pockets, and one drawstring pocket fitted for a 32oz/1L Nalgene water bottle or a radio. The Jumbo S-Type has three places for modular expansion with other Maxpedition accessories using Malice Clips. External keyper on shoulder strap for gloves and internal silent keyper for keys.

Point (2) The S-Type JUMBO’s rear slip compartment is now equipped with large loop Velcro patches to accommodate our Hook & Loop Modular Accessories (e.g. Maxpedition Universal Modular Holster, sold separately). This allows the user to position their concealed carry firearm for a quick strong side draw or weak side cross draw.

Right size, built like a tank June 16, 2011

I took this thing on a week-long fishing trip stuffed full of stuff:  FAK, GPS, VX6R, light, P226+mags, some food, full nalgene, and a bunch of misc. other stuff.

Packed it around all week.  It was a little heavy, but that's because I had too much crap in it.  Not the bag's fault, though the empty bag isn't light.  A trade-off of the tough construction.

Got rained on hard one day.  The stuff inside was damp but not wet.  Bag dried out quickly.  It's not a wet-bag, so no worries, but I did repack some stuff into ziplocks.

It's built like a tank.  Can't even tell it was used other than some dirt, and I wasn't easy on it.  If you're looking for this style of bag, it's a good pick.

Shooter, this thing is the best day  runner pack available. Perfect for a hike or a day at Disneyland. Water, energy bars, meds, foldaway poncho, with room to spare. You will be glad you brought the thing!

What else can I say?? My bag survived a helicopter fire. After a little TLC and a sewing machine the bag is as good as new. Sure, I probably could have gotten a new one, but this one has history and is still in good shape. Oh, did I mention - the helicopter was destroyed in the fire, but the bag still lives on.  Besides the awesome story, the bag has plenty of storage and works great as a Pubs bag or GO bag if your an aviator. Anyway thanks Maxpedition and SKD.
