Mayflower UW Chest Rig Gen IV

The UW Chest Rig Gen IV is a low-profile mission focused vest built to be ambidextrous and designed to carry the following: 4 ea 5.56mm magazines, 2 pistol magazines, up to 2 small radios (PRC-152/MBITR) as well as two GP pockets. The H style harness is removable via 4 one inch ITW-Nexus side release buckles and designed to be mounted to the front of the Low-Profile Armor Carrier. Elastic is provided for cable management and antenna relocation. All buckles are ITW-Nexus IR and all materials and workmanship are 100% made in the USA.

The UW Chest Rig Gen IV is available in the following colors:

This rig is just what I was looking for. It's light weight, has plenty of pouches to handle the items you need and nothing more. Mayflower hit a home run with this and SKD got it to me in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. All in all, I'm a satisfied customer.

This is a great light weight rig that is perfect if you don't like weighting yourself down with a lot of kit. Don't let the pictures fool you this thing is built to last. When I first saw Mayflower's stuff I though it was cheaply made, boy was I wrong! You'll need to buy some sort of insert for one of the pouches if you want to put your IFAK/ Med kit in the rig. I've done so and it really makes a difference not having that big thing strapped to you. The side pouches are capable of holding two mags if you want to have six on you at all times. I'm running four on the rig and haven't had any issues. The smaller pouches are perfect for a multi-tool or smaller flashlight and I'm pretty sure they'd fight pistol mags quite easily. I really want to try this with Mayflower's vest mounting kit that eliminates the H-Harness, but the harness itself is not a hassle.

Purchased this last week after much research on product. Pouches are arranged how I would have any MOLLE system set up, but without the price of all the individaul components. Very happy with the construction. It is "softer" than 1000D nylon, and should wear well for low-profile operations with an emphasis on lighter weight and concealability. My only complaint is that the "medium GP pouches" up front be listed as smalls. There is no place to attatch a proper med kit, necessitating the use of a sub-belt. The pouches ARE large enough however for frags, smokes, or initiators, and you can use one of the radio pouches as a pistol holster in a pinch, or as a GP pouch.

Bought this rig a few weeks ago, put it through some abuse on multiple ranges, and have decided it is my favorite, all time best set up. Light weight, pouch layout is great, low-profile, and nothing extra/unnecessary or bulky. Also, pretty sure this was shipped to my house in about 4 days.

Great Fast & Light Rig June 23, 2010

This rig was popular with my platoon over in Afghanistan because of its minuscule weight and well thought out design. It carries everything you need and nothing you don't for COIN missions and it's easy to take off and set aside while you're hanging out in a mud brick house for hours on end.

I personally wore an Eagle LVAC armor carrier, but if you were to couple this rig with the Mayflower armor carrier instead, you've got an even better solution because the rig and armor have fastex buckles for quick attach and detach.

Personally I'm already saving up to buy the Mayflower armor for my next tour.
