Nightforce 2.5-10x32mm, NSX Compact Scope, ZeroStop

Nightforce Compact NXS scopes were originally created for U.S. Special Forces for use with night vision devices, which should tell you something about their capability. The new 2.5-10 x 32 has no parallax concerns; a larger exit pupil makes for faster target acquisition; and at just 12 inches in length and 19 ounces, it represents the optimum ratio of size-to-weight performance.

Available with Nightforce ZeroStop technology that allows an absolute return to your chosen zero point, regardless of how much you have adjusted elevation settings.  The Nightforce ZeroStop relies on a precisely machined internal stop that will not shift or loosen. NF = High Quality Tough Scope December 14, 2012

I bought a FN SCAR 17S, but figuring out what scope to buy for the .308 boomer was killing me.

I wanted to maintain some of the shorter distance capability of a low power scope, but I wanted to take advantage of the longer range capability of the .308 round.

It had to have illumination and it had to be tough.

So, after much review, I decided that the NXS 2.5-10 was exactly the right scope to complement the SCAR 17.  

I chose well.  There are several reticles and I made what might seem like an unusual choice, the plain NPR which is closer to a traditional hunting reticle.  It works for me. The reticle is bold enough to get on target quickly while not obscuring the target with a large dot.  The NPR2 is nice but the reticle is so fine that I was loosing it (crappy eyes) when moving from target to target. ---Your mileage may vary, so there are choices to be made on the reticle..

OVERALL I AM VERY VERY HAPPY WITH MY CHOICE, GREAT SCOPE!   This is a keeper.
