The new PIG Drop-Slider Sling is a culmination of years of shooter experience and input, that helps maximize the strengths of the single-point design, while eliminating it's critical weakness- the transition of your carbine or SMG to your center line. Other single-point sling designs hang your primary weapon directly in the way of your knees, impeding mobility, and in some instances striking the operator's groin. The only way to prevent this with traditional designs is to completely rotate the main sling body, which requires a deliberate and long pulling motion.

Enter the PIG Drop-Slider Sling, which has a short "Pig Tail" that attaches to the body of the sling with a metal rectangular ring, allowing full speed transitions to deposit your primary firearm to the lowest point in the loop- which is on your side, and NOT in your way.

Both the Mk-1 and Mk-2 (bungee version) offer you a host of unique features and options.

  • Lightweight 1" webbing minimizes bulk while retaining strength and function.
  • Tubular nylon "Pad" enhances comfort while reducing bulk and stiffness.
  • Emergency release buckle that disengages the sling loop so the operator can get in an out in a hurry.
  • Choice of 3 different "Pig Tails" for attaching to weapon (available separately).
  • Pig Tails allows for modularity and gives a secondary release capability.

To order the PIG Drop-Slider Sling, you select the body option you would like (Mk-1 or Mk-2) and the Pig-Tail attachment of your choice. Each Pig-Tail offers a different attachment mode, and features a side release buckle for quick and easy removal of the host weapon from the sling body. This setup also allows you to keep several different firearms setup with Pig-Tails that can easily be clipped into Drop-Slider bodies. You can have one Drop-Slider body configured for use over light clothing and another for use over heavy body armor, and a host of clip-in weapon systems via an array of multiple Pig-Tails.

I've been looking for the perfect sling for my hard-use rifle, and the Drop-Slider fits the bill. The hardware and materials are all top quality, and have withstood some serious abuse thus-far. I've tried it on a QD endplate, and on a SOPMOD stock with no issues. The only con's I've run into: unable to adjust length on the fly, and the "pad" leaves a bit to be desired. For the price it can't be beat, and with SKD's fast shipping and awesome CS, you can't go wrong.

Great sling. Flawless. Performed well and was very comfortable in the process. If you wanna get something done right, then you gotta use the PIG for yourself.

Just got this the other day and took in right out on mission.  Love the ease to connect the sling to the weapon works great for getting in and out of our NTV's. The shipping was fast getting it out here to AFG only took a week.

It's a good sling all the pluses of a single point without banging your nuts.  You can move your weapon out of the way it naturally wants to drop to the lowest part of the sling which is normally under your armpit.  I really like 2 point slings but I hate how they get in the way when you find yourself in non ideal situations so I thought I'd give this a try.
