PIG Plate Carrier Cummerbund Soft Armor Insert Set (2), Dyneema

Specially made to insert into the PIG Molle Soft Armor Capable Cummerbund, this set of NIJ IIIA inserts will fit into an Eagle Plate Carrier Cummerbund as well.  

These inserts are made of 100% Dyneema by Velocity Systems LLC, and RF heat sealed and encapsulated in order to maintain ballistic integrity in wet and/or sandy environments.  

All materials and workmanship are 100% made in the USA.

Dyneema cumberbund soft armor inserts January 11, 2013

Picked up a set of these to go with the Velocity Systems dyneema soft armor front/rear inserts I got from SKD.  Right now these soft armor inserts are installed in a BlackWater plate carrier.  The side inserts fit nicely into the BW cummerbund.  Another great product from SKD and Velocity systems.

I went back and forth trying to decide between the Dyneema or Kevlar inserts and did a lot of research. Ultimately, weight was more important than point blank protection for me so Dyneema won. These panel fit nice and snug in the PIG molle cummberbund, provide nice coverage, and don't move around.

Lightweight, perfect fit for the PC.  Provides enough cushion for the plate in the PC and keep you from having to wear other soft armor under the PC...it's all just grab and go vest now.
