PWS FSC556 Flash Suppressing Compensator

The Primary Weapons Systems FSC556 Tactical Compensator has all of the compensation of the standard DNTC compensator combined with enough flash suppression to keep the flash out of your optics and line of sight.

This device was also designed to accomodate suppressors such as the Gemtech HALO and therefore comes with a peel washer.

The Flash Suppressing Compensator (FSC) series of muzzle devices from PWS provides superior compensation characteristics combined with enough flash suppression to keep the flash out of your optics and line of sight. Designed for both competitive and tactical use, the FSC series allows for superior muzzle stabilization and aids the shooter in faster follow up shots and accuracy.

The unique port design of the FSC series yields muzzle control that meets or exceeds the performance of the best muzzle brakes on the market without the teeth rattling overpressure indicative of other brakes and compensators.

All of the FSC Series muzzle devices have been classified as a non-flash suppressing device by the BATFE, thus removing any restriction from assault weapon ban states or provinces.

FSC Series muzzle devices ship with the PWS Shim set, therefore additional mounting devices such as peel washers or crush washers are not required.

For use on weapons that have a bullet diameter equal to or less than .223/5.56 and threaded 1/2x28 RH.

Have purchased and used several different types on different weapons.  This particular style/model works best for me on a variety of different platforms, from AR, AK, and an M1A.  Well worth the money.

The PWS FSC 556 was a great addition to my BCM midlength 14.5 upper, it's like shooting a .22 kit. The muzzle climb is almost zero, recoil is reduced as advertised. I've been shooting it at the range, and all my other AR's are just sitting in the safe, collecting dust. I love the Comp, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a BA comp.

The PWS FSC556 is loud to anyone who is to your immediate left or right. Anybody with common sense can come to this conclusion because of the adjacent ports. This flash suppressor/compensator seems to really tone down the amount of light that is shown during night fire from a forward field of view. It's not going to make your flash magically disappear from all angles. It's sort of concussive but that's not a surprise. I'll take better firing control and flash suppression in exchange for a light headache.

Muzzle rise with the FSC556 becomes non-existent. This is especially noticeable if you're used to shooting on a standard A2 birdcage.

Installation is a breeze. It comes with a shim set in lieu of a crush washer. A peel washer, a small shim and 8 shims are included. You can easily make adjustments to ensure that you have a secure wrench-tight fit on your barrel. I simply cleaned my threads, greased them, applied the shims and tightened the PWS FSC556 to my barrel.

Well I dont really care what people say, I just dont think its possible to achieve both flash suppression and compensation with THIS STYLE of muzzle device.   Though I am extremely happy with my purchase.

The device provides a NOTICEABLE reduction in muzzle flip and rise.  As well as mild recoil reduction.

The device does spit some sparks and stuff onto your arms under certain circumstances.   And is pretty concussive, you can feel it on your forehead and sinus area while shooting and if your standing next to it, its worse.  

I am going to keep this muzzle device mainly because its an effective comp/brake.  

The flash suppression... well at night all the flash seems to come out of the comp section of it.

Overall I do recommend this to my friends.

The FSC 556 by Primary Weapons Systems is well worth it's price. It's unique design helps channel muzzle blast in such a way that it allows for much faster follow-up shots. The FSC 556 also helps eliminate the muzzle flash with it's extended tines unlike the TTO version.

Installation use to be a little tricky but PWS has moved from using a peel washer to a shim set. A crush washer as also an option and will work just fine if you have no intention to mount a suppressor.

The biggest drawback I have found is if you are not directly behind the gun it does get a little loud. That said, it has no effect on the shooter itself.

I have been running the PWS FSC 556 on my guns for nearly a year and will never go back to a conventional flash hider. This is a great upgrade for your gun and will help you improve your shooting. Well worth the money spent.
