Amazed by this carrier March 22, 2013
Reviewer: JVG from Kalamazoo, MI United States
So I broke down and finally spent the money in the PIG plate carrier , I have wanted it for a while / or to try it but never pulled the trigger because my old LBT was still kickin , but needing a new one I first bought the banshee ad although it is well built it was not nearly as comfortable as I was used to and was lacking some key features all pc's should have , so two day after gettin that one I ordered my PIG , two days latter it's at my door !! Two days !! That speaks for itself , and now the PIG , this carrier is by FAR the best plate carrier I have ever worn , and the most comfortable by far , and it hold the plates perfect my med front and large back fit like a glove with no sway . No that I have had a chance to use it it make me mad for waiting , and I would have easily paid $500 for this carrier so the fact that they sell it for $300 Ish I amazing !!!

IOTV to PIG March 11, 2013
Reviewer: Forward Surgical from Afghanistan
My reserve unit sent me to Afghanistan with the latest Gen III KDH IOTV.  The IOTVs were fit and issued rather expeditiously without much consideration for individual input on fit.  I'm an athletic build with a 40-42" chest and 32" waist, height 5'8", weight of 180lbs.  I was fit with a Large IOTV due to my chest size.  This left me with an excess amount of soft armor at the waist; enough that it would hit my thighs when climbing stairs or doing step-ups while working out.  As soon as I became aware that my leadership was okay with non-issued protective equipment I ordered a PIG in multicam.

I would have considered having my Banshee sent if it wasn't ATACS.  I figured the PIG would be more comfy with loads due to the padding.

The PIG arrived to my FOB in just 8 days!

The PIG fits great; carries plates high, straps offer more room for M4 stock placement than Banshee or IOTV.

*Loop velcro is multicam, not solid color like some the pics in the description*

PIG Plate Carrier March 5, 2013
Reviewer: Lane from APO
I was a little unsure about the fit since im a smaller guy (5'8" 160 lean).  My small plates fit really well in the "sleeves" and the carrier it self fits well (same as a small interceptor vest).  It cuts the bulk down and has been great for missions so far!

UNBEATABLE! February 22, 2013
Reviewer: Henry from Tempe, AZ United States
The features of this plate carrier are what sell it.  I was looking at the Banshee and the Mayflower units as well, but the number one feature that sold me was the split bib.  This makes donning and doffing this carrier EXTREMELY easy.

Another feature that I really like is the plate pouch system is very versatile and I don't have to worry about accidentally dropping a plate when I lift the bib as you do with the Banshee. SCORE!

This plate carrier comes with some "semi-firm" foam pads in it which comes in handy if you are not running soft armor backers.

The G-hook system seemed hokey to me at first, but they are made out of METAL and make height adjustments a breeze.

For people worried about the quick disconnect buckles interfering with your rifle stock, DON'T! If you have this plate adjusted properly, the stock will rest directly on the plate.

A+ to SKD on this home run!

PIG Plate Carrier February 18, 2013
Reviewer: boostercup from huntsville, AL United States
Ordered the PIG Plate Carrier with molle cummerbund, dyneema plate backers, and cummberbund soft armor. I already had hard plates to put in it.

I love the rig - it's my first PIG product and after getting it assembled, adjusted, and kitted up, I can see why so many users are singing it's praises. Fits me just like advertised and puts my plates EXACTLY where I need them.

About SKD customer service: My email settings prevented them from verifying my armor ID and shipping my stuff to me. They sent notifications of status, and were very prompt in answering my emails. They were very patient and worked with me until I could be verified. I cant say enough about that - most places would leave you hangin...

Shipping was crazy fast - I received an email yesterday morning from SKD saying I had been verified and that my stuff was shipping out. I received everything today!!

BUY YOUR STUFF FROM THIS COMPANY. Enough said.

Outstanding February 12, 2013
Reviewer: Tyler from Vancouver, WA United States
Never really used a plate carrier before so I will be a bit biased but since my time in the Corps ended a few years ago I've looked for a good chest rig. We still used the OTV back when I was in Iraq and didn't care much for the lack of mobility while Vehicle Commander. I absolutely love this carrier. I'm a big athletic built guy and it is perfect for my .308 loadout I have for my PTR91. The shoulder straps stay close to your neck, so that you can actually use the pocket of your shoulder to get a tight and secure stockweld, yet they don't rub against it. Sits high and comfortable and allows you to be very mobile. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

C'mon--You Know. February 9, 2013
Reviewer: Scott Morrell from rogersville, TN United States
What can I say that hasn't already been said about the PIG. Recieved like three days after I ordered it (awesomeness), and I have to say, this is the best Plate Carrier I have come across yet. I have a Mayflower APC and an LBT 6094B, and this carrier just shelved them both. Quality is Top Notch, and the adjustability and fit of this thing is just out-fricking-standing! Wasn't sure about the split middle, then you kit it up, and wonder, where the hell has this been all my life? And the Plate Pouch, BRILLIANT! As every plate size I own was locked down tight and snug by the perimeter velcro around excess areas--no wiggle, no shift, no shit. Everything this company does is just...well...right, and has become my go-to vendor for all my tactical nees. Keep it up fellas, and thanks again for all you do

PIG PC February 8, 2013
Reviewer: Nikolas k from VA United States
Absolutely the best PC I've used. Im Army EOD and have put this thing through the ringer and it has done everything I have asked and more. I've used it with a battle belt system and it rides just right on the chest covering all vitals and does not rub against belt.

It is clear that all features on this were carefully thought out and works as designed. I love the fact that the front flaps are spit and have 4 rows of molle each.

All and all I am very pleased with my purchase and plan on buying more PIG gear.
