SOTech Combat Individual Medical Aid Pouch

The Compact Individual Medical Aid Pouch is for every soldier who needs more space on his vest. The pouch is only two MOLLE/PALS bars wide yet it holds the entire contents of the Army's officials issue IFAK which is four bars wide. It organizes the contents for easy access and proper tool placement. External pocket for quick access to the tourniquet. Offically purchased by a brigage of the 101st Airborne (AA). Can be mounted to a suspension belt hanger strap.

Dimensions: 4 3/4" wide x 7 1/2" deep with reinforced sides.

Great medical pouch May 13, 2011

I almost didn't order this because of the negative reviews, thank goodness I didn't listen to them.  The tourniquet pouch is great and the size is nice too.  It fits great on the side panel on my P.I.G. Plate Carrier.

I purchased this pouch for its size. was thinking it would be smaller but it is rather large. as far as MOLLE real estate is does only take up 2 rows but it is very bulky as far as depth.. it seemed to hang up on everything I walked by. ended up going with a CTOMs signiture Mini CFAK

Highly Disappointing June 20, 2010

I purchased this pouch because it said it could hold all of the items that came issued with the Army IFAK in a smaller package.  And it can do that.  But the organization is lacking.  The out front Torniquet pouch is a nice touch, and the ability to open the pouch all the way to get to items is good.  But loops for things like NPAs and catheders are hidden behind a plastic window for ID or whatnot, and are not easily accessible.  And anything else that might go in that back pocket could get lost at the bottom.  And unlike the issued IFAK where the organizer can come out, this is stuck to your vest or wherever you mount it.  Which could make it difficult to use if you're being worked on.

I just received the SoTech pouch and stuffed it full of my counter-ventilation equipment.  It's very well organized with pockets and straps, and the external pocket is very good.  If I had to pick a gripe, I wish there was velcro on the outside to attach a blood type patch, but there is plenty of velcro under the flap in which to put it.  It's just not visible without opening the flap first.  Great product, and well worth the price!
