The new SureFire® Mini Scout Light, powered by just one 123A lithium battery, is a powerful, lightweight LED WeaponLight that mounts securely to any Mil-Spec Picatinny rail via an integral thumbscrew clamp. Its shock-proof LED emitter and TIR lens create a tight 110-lumen beam with plenty of reach for longer-range applications yet enough surround light for close-quarter situations. WeaponLight activation is achieved by clicking the tailcap pushbutton switch or, for fingertip control without altering your grip on the weapon, by depressing the included pressure-activated tape switch. The ultra-compact, durable Mini Scout Light was built to withstand the rigors of combat without weighing your weapon down.

The only one you'll ever need. May 22, 2012

If you are looking for a compact durable flash light this is it. It's lite and low profile profile enough where it doesn't impact the weight and manipulation of your weapon system no matter how far forward it is mounted. The pressure switch is high quality however I run the button switch which is also fantastic, easy to install and engage.
Not to mention it is covered under Surefire's fantastic warranty system.

Highly recommend. Fast turn around time, SKD shipped same day (free shipping) and arrived at my door steps in a few days.

The product is on the pricey side however it is a Surefire and you get what you pay for.

Small, compact light weight lighting solution April 23, 2012

This light has fit the bill perfectly for what I wanted in a lighting solution for my AR.  It's compact, and lightweight, in conjunction w/ the LaRue LT752 mount fit my needs perfectly!

I recently purchased this light from SKD, and I cannot believe how tiny it is. I have carried the heavy, and large issue Surefire since it was first given to me at RFI in 2003. I got used to the bulk and space that it took up on my RIS. This light is so small it almost looks out of place. It is just a little bit larger than my M3X, but the plus is that it's LED and made of metal. It also has the Positive click tail cap that is recessed to prevent accidental discharges. I am absolutely thrilled with this light, it's output, weight, size and ruggedness. if you are buying a new flashlight and know that your weapon will get abused like mine, this is definitely the light for you.
