Canteen Utility Pouch - Great utility pouch. I had no problem storing a Nalgene, or NVG's or a ton of granola bars. Simple fastex closure means I could have it on my back and reach around for my item (not that type of reach around - get your mind off of prison memories). No zippers to Eff with. It has Velcro too, but it comes with a patch to fold over it so you can decide how much retention you need. Takes up two MOLLE slots even though it's a bigger pouch. I had two next to each other on my left side, one for Water and junk food and one for my NVG's. Just an all around useful pouch for anything that will fit. View More SKD Staff Picks

The Tactical Tailor Canteen Utility Pouch is designed as a general purpose pouch that will fit a standard 1qt canteen (without cup) or most 1 litre water bottles. It has an adjustable quick release buckle, hook and loop closure, and attaches with two long MALICE CLIPS® (included). The pouch measures 8.5"H x 5"W x 3"D. Available in Coyote Brown, Multicam, Ranger Green and Black.

I was looking for a GP pouch to hold a couple water bottles, product or whatever else was mission required. This worked out just the way I needed it to.

Stiff buckle March 2, 2012

Got this pouch for a odd shaped first aid kit.  Pouch is sturdy and stays shut even with just the velcro.  The one con I would have to say is the buckle is a little stiff. Which is a concern for the intended use that I got it for.  Dont need to be struggling with a buckle when the kit is needed.  Over all I find it to be a good utility pouch.

Out of all my general purpose pouches, these serve the greatest variety of dedicated purposes. The design is simple and strong, and the closure is secure. No zippers to worry about in the mud and rock as well. Perfect for an individual first aid kit, a wide variety of rifle magazines, or even odd sized items like self-rescue respirators. I've used short malice clips for attaching them to riggers and pistol belts as well, and have never worried about metal snaps failing in the field, as I've yet to have a malice clip fail on me.

Great pouch, wish it had different attachment December 2, 2011

I just received my canteen pouch in the mail.  At first glance I was sure there was no way a 32oz Nalgene bottle would fit.  I grabbed one of mine and tried it in the pouch, fits perfect.  A bit of an illusion it seems.  Along with the Nalgene bottle, a combined Space Saver cup fits in the pouch as well.  The only thing I wish this pouch had is sewn in molle straps for a more snug attachment fit, instead of malice clips (included).  Regardless, I would recommend this canteen pouch.
