Canteen Utility Pouch - Great utility pouch. I had no problem storing a Nalgene, or NVG's or a ton of granola bars. Simple fastex closure means I could have it on my back and reach around for my item (not that type of reach around - get your mind off of prison memories). No zippers to Eff with. It has Velcro too, but it comes with a patch to fold over it so you can decide how much retention you need. Takes up two MOLLE slots even though it's a bigger pouch. I had two next to each other on my left side, one for Water and junk food and one for my NVG's. Just an all around useful pouch for anything that will fit. View More SKD Staff Picks

The Tactical Tailor Canteen Utility Pouch is designed as a general purpose pouch that will fit a standard 1qt canteen (without cup) or most 1 litre water bottles. It has an adjustable quick release buckle, hook and loop closure, and attaches with two long MALICE CLIPS® (included). The pouch measures 8.5"H x 5"W x 3"D. Available in Coyote Brown, Multicam, Ranger Green and Black.

What you see is what you get. No surprises. Typical good quality materials and workmanship. Good size for a nalgene bottle or whatever you need to squeeze in there.

Decent all purpose pouch December 12, 2012

It's a dump bag with a fastex clipped top. I wish someone would come up with a bag with a lid/top that wouldn't be in the way when you want to dump stuff in it but would still hold all your junk in it if it went 90-180 degrees towards the ground. Like "bugs check in but they don't check out" for gear--meaning it should have an opening that opens when you push down on it and is spring-loaded to shut as you withdraw your hand out of it. If it opened like a camera shutter--that would be awesome. Until that lid is invented, this canteen utility pouch will work (it's gotta have a lid).

Originally purchased this to carry an PVS-14, plenty of room even with the necessary protective padding. Super sturdy, great all around case for just about any situation.
