Tactical Tailor Magna Mag Double Pistol Mag Pouch

by Sean
Magna Mag Double Pouch- Great pouch. I never close the flaps on them. Having the Magnets holds my magazines in without any worries. The best part is that I haven't found a mag that doesn't fit well in it. Switching between weapons depending on what I get issued isn't a problem - it'll hold double stacked and single stacked mags equally as well. It's almost as good as kydex retention and speed without being mag specific. I wear two of these on my belt and I have never lost a single mag. View More SKD Staff Picks

The Tactical Tailor Magna Mag double pistol mag pouch holds your pistol magazines securely with the flaps open or closed. The unique design features a strong magnet sewn into the front of each section of the pouch which locks onto just about any metal pistol mag and wont let go until you want it to. Constructed of heavy duty Cordura nylon, the Magna Mag pouch features hook and loop on the front and back to secure the flaps open or closed and attaches to any MOLLE/PALS style gear with two included short MALICE CLIPS®. Available in Black and Coyote Brown.

Dimensions: 5" tall x 6" wide x 1" deep

MADE IN THE USA

PLEASE NOTE: While our Magna Mag pouches are designed to function with most pistol magazines, some narrow single stack magazines may be better secured with the top closed.

Works well for our tactical operations. I have one on my throw over vest and one on my heavy vest.

Awesome mag pouch September 2, 2013
Reviewer: THOMAS NEUMAN from FPO, AE United States
I use an M11 at work and this pouch fits them perfectly. The magnet really keeps them tight on my kit. ( I was shaking it trying to get them loose) All in all the only mag pouch you need

One of my personal favorites June 26, 2013

Although the magnet isn't strong enough to hold my USPc mags, the velcro flip cover makes up for that. This is truly a universal pistol mag pouch. Can snugly fit a .45 mag or two 1911 mags. The possibilities are endless! Except for maybe an extended Glock mag... but thats what HSGI Tacos are for... This is probably one of my favorite pistol mag pouches I have owned. When I go for Jogs or go hiking these are also perfect for holding a flashlight or Multi-tool. Definitely a Tactical Tailor fan!

NOT for XDM 40 mags June 24, 2013
Reviewer: Joey Jingles from Fort Smith, AR. United States
Bought this double pouch with high expectations after a Taco would not hold my XDM 40 mags.

The magna mag was no better for retention and the magnet never seemed to "grab" my mags.

If I wanted a pouch just for the range either of these would work. With a loaded mag turned upside down, the mag slides, slides and falls out. I like the silent feature but crossing a rope line in a horizontal position or getting upside down in a rappel would mean you quickly lost your ammo. In addition the strap is not long enough to cover over the mag and velcro so it is virtually useless.

Since the strap was useless I folded the rear tab into the pouch (as a filler) but adhesion did not change much. I then cut a piece of cardboard the width inside the pouch, inserted it and folded the flap into the pouch again. This snugs everything to its maximum retention and copies the Taco hold which is still a vertical only retention.

I guess next try is Blackhawk ?
