I bought this optic months ago, I was stuck deciding between a SPR AR-15 with a precision scope, or a AR-15 ACOG. I went the ACOG route, although It may have been fun to have an 8x. I have no regret what so ever.
This is a premium Optic, battle proven and is built like a tank. In my opinion it was worth every penny. The glass is crystal clear, Has 1/2MOA clicks, up down, left right.
The TA31ECOS (dark earth//brown) Has a range compensator out to 1000m, the retical itself says 1-600m is for the 5.56, and 7-1000m is for the m249 saw, You can use it out to 1000m, but at that range the 5.56 bullet splash on dirt is hard to detect.
the Trijicon RMR red dot mounted up top. The RMR Also has 1/2 MOA clicks. The RMR has no on//off button it goes off after a period of no movement, and comes on again when movement is detected.
RMR again has no brightness setting, but in daytime winter, the snow is bright on the eyes, but the red dot is still very see-able.
