Solid rear sight, has both rear apertures just like the standard M16A2 service rifle. The construction and design of Troy's sight make it an excellent choice for the price point in the rear sight market.

A sight that works perfectly November 10, 2010

It's always nice to attach a sight that feels as though it's supposed to be on the rifle to begin with. The fixed rail sight is just that kind of tool. I love the thing. It's unobtrusive and a great sight for mid and long range iron-sightings. I also love that there are two settings for close and long range targets.  

The sight itself is extremely well-made and intelligently designed, with minimal obtrusion from the rest of the rifle. I bought a Magpul BUIS, but to be honest it's not worth what I paid for it.

I'll eventually get some glass for my weapon, but until then the Troy sight stays on the rails. And maybe even then it'll stick around.
