These Plate Backers from Velocity Systems are made with 100% Dupont Kevlar, and are made to NIJ IIIA equivalent specifications.  As far as Plate Backers go, these are among the finest available.  Plate Backers are required to bring up the spec of some In-Conjunction Hard Armor Plates, but due to their small size, should not be considered Stand-Alone ballistic panels.  Sizing is based on US Military Issue SAPI Plate sizing.  

All Velocity Systems ballistic panels are RF welded/heat sealed in a urethane coated nylon to protect from moisture and debris.

to start SKD has super fast shipping and they armor I ordered got here quick. the large plates fit my TAG plate carrier perfect and seem to be made very well. I hope that I never have to see how well they work, but I feel very secure about the quality of armor from Velocity. I have to say these are some of the best plates on the market and SKD has the best pricing I have found..

Never handled Velocity product before, bought these for my trunk kit. EXACT, PERFECT fit for standard cut SAPIS. No less and no more. Impeccable workmanship throughout. It's Kevlar so it runs thick. Might be a tight fit for some of the newer PCs out there, especially when paired with ESAPIS, but the coated outer shell makes fitting manageable. Velocity Systems has my full confidence, and I will be seeking out this brand as my needs evolve...
