Zero Tolerance 0360.SKD Knife, Folder w/ SpeedSafe, Carbide Tip, BK

Zero Tolerance 0360.SKD Knife - Of coursed this is a biased review, but if it gets carried daily, it deserves mention. The Zero Tolerance 0360.SKD Knife is by far the best combination of practicality, strength, speed and quality I've ever carried in a folding knife- period. I was a fan of ZT quality before conceiving this model, but the 0300 series was not very practical for daily carry for me due to the size. The 0350 was a quantum leap in practicality, but was still a bit wide in it's profile when folded. The ZT 0360.SKD knife manages to shave the width and the speed, and the coolest thing you notice is the increase in opening speed when side by side with the 0350. Still trying to abuse it when I can, and still holding an sharp edge, and taking a sharp edge for that matter when it needs some grooming. When it opens and locks up, it is just a FISTFUL of AWESOME. The ZT 0360.SKD represents 18 months of collaborative efforts between SKD and Zero Tolerance to produce a new model based on the popular 0350 platform.  In technical parlance, we took a kick-ass knife, and made it KICK MORE ASS.  The 0360.SKD blade is a full 30% lighter than the 0350 blade, which results in a lighter overall weight and a dramatic increase in opening speed... making a cool sound effect when opening will enhance the experience.   The low-carb blade profile gives the 0360.SKD a leaner look than the 0350, without compromising strength- the blade thickness on both models is identical.

The ZT SpeedSafe system makes for easy one-handed assisted opening even when wearing combat gloves (although we don't really know what "combat gloves" are...).  A small carbide tip is pressed into place at the butt of the handle for emergency glass-breaking use.  The blade is S30V stainless steel with Tungsten DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) means that the extremely durable corrosion resistant blade is further coated in a non-reflective self-lubricating corrosion resistant finish, so it isn't likely to corrode.  Textured, matte-black G-10 scales provide a secure Kung-Fu grip. Includes a quad mounting system for tip-up, tip-down, left- or right-handed clip carry, but not all four at once.

This special edition ZT knife is only available at SKD, and each blade features a unique 3 digit serial number sequence.  Future models will be available with different color handles. We ask that anyone planning on buying this knife actually use it- don't be a Nancy and make this a pocket queen.  If we see any of these being fielded without any actual signs of real use, we will revoke your tough-guy card and reclaim our product.

Perfect knife! June 18, 2011
Reviewer: D from Makawao, HI United States
I use the Zero Tolerance 0360.SKD Knife, Folder w/SpeedSafe daily in my duties as a patrol officer.  It's proven itself to be the perfect balance of refinement, utility and awesomeness.  Small and lightweight, with the new grips and blade profile, but bomber enough to withstand any type of abuse you can throw at it.  It also looks great and conceals well on the uniform in case your employer is a bit too PC about knives and the public... like mine is.  Don't let the small carbide tip fool you, it works like its nobody's business.  It works so well that the first time I used it to extricate a trapped driver at a motor vehicle accident, I actually used way too much force and nearly cut myself up pushing my arm through the glass window.  The scallops on the bottom of the grip have served well as a improvised impact weapon in a pinch as well.

Pros:
Lightweight
Small profile
Bomber construction
One handed opening
Excellent glass breaker

Cons:

Excellent Knife September 21, 2010
Reviewer: James S from Fort Campbell, KY United States
This knife was a gift and it has replaced all previous knives I carried.  It opens faster than any of my benchmades and is sturdier than any of my Gerber knives.  It has a sharp blade that retains its edge and a solid feel.  I would recommend this to anyone.

Best of all worlds September 20, 2010
Reviewer: ToddG from Rockville, MD United States
After carrying the much bigger 0302 for almost two years, it was no surprise that the 0360 would have incredible build quality. But the real difference between this and other ZT knives is the great size, weight, and balance of the blade. The lighter blade opens far faster and with more certainty than similar Speed Safe assisted opening knives. The blade is big enough to be useful for everyday tasks but small enough to be comfortably carried and easily concealed.

I was so impressed with the 0360 SKD prototype I saw that it led to a limited run of them built just for my company. HIGHLY recommended without reservation!

Heavy Duty September 15, 2010
Reviewer: Paulieman from Davie, FL United States
You can feel in the weight of this knife that it is built solid. You pick up a $20 knife and then hold this Knife and you can tell the difference.  I have tested the glass break on a large piece of tempered glass and it works.  The flick open is easy to get used to. Plus its sharp as hell.  Thumbs up to ZT & SKD. I take this thing everywhere with me

Zero Tolerance 0360 skd July 15, 2010
Reviewer: Dale from North Port, FL United States
After loosing my Spyderco that I had been carrying for over the past 14 years, It was time to get a new knife.  Since shopping at SKD I know their stuff is not BS just like the title says.  Lo and Behold when going to the website.... the 0360 is on the front page.  I figured it must be good sh#t so Ill pick one up.  This one will not fall out of your pocket as the clip ( which can go in 4 different spots) is very, very tight.  The lockup when the blade is in use is very tight and it sports a very nice edge.  The only thing I have to get used to is using my pointer finger to get the blade open.  Another plus is being able to bust open a car window in an emergency.  This is a good product, made in USA, you just cant go wrong.
